Lucky 7 Speedway General Rules-2010
General Operation Rules:
• The track retains the right to refuse entry to any car or person without questions.
• Drivers and crewmembers will conduct themselves in a calm and sportsman-like manner at all times
• The driver alone will be the sole spokesman for their entry in any and all matters pertaining to the race and must talk with the official in charge.
• Driver will take responsibility for any and all crew members.
• Officials MUST BE NOTIFIED immediately of any driver change.
• Interpretation of rules and races falls to the discretion of Lucky 7 Speedway officials and will be final
• Ignorance of rules will not be accepted as an excuse for their violation
• Open drinking of intoxicants will not be tolerated. Immediate ejection from facility will be executed
• Any crew member, driver or anyone else who uses loud and abusive language or profane signs toward any track official or any individual who is guilty of starting or engaging in a fight will be ejected from the facility immediately and is also subject to lose of winnings and points for that event. They are also subject to suspension for upcoming events.
• Any person found with any weapon on him or his vehicle is subject to fine, loss of the weapon or arrest.
• If any car causes 3 cautions in a race, the car will be black-flagged and sent to the pits.
• No coolers will be admitted into the grandstand area.
• If LESS THAN 6 CARS PER CLASS, TRACK HAS THE RIGHT TO ADJUST PURSE!
GENERAL RULES FOR ALL DIVISIONS
ALL CARS ARE SUBJECT TO INSPECTION AT ALL TIMES
SAFETY EQUIPMENT
• All cars MUST have an approved fire extinguisher securely mounted within reach of the driver. A five pound Halon system is recommended.
• Racing seats and racing seatbelts with shoulder harness are required and must be securely fastened to the car frame.
• A drive-line sling is required
• Fire resistant uniforms is required
• Fire resistant gloves, underwear and socks are recommended
• 18-guage steel or 1/8" aluminum thingypit tub in front sides and rear of driver is highly recommended
• Drive shaft and weight ballast must be painted white
• Batteries must be securely mounted and shielded. Batteries mounted inside of vehicle must be in cases.
• All cars need chain or hoop on the front and rear for the tow truck to hook to.
CAR NUMBERS
• All cars must have a number at least 18 inches high, clearly visible and identifiable on both sides and on roof. All cars must have a number at least 3" high on the nosepiece and at the rear of the fuel cell in a visible place.
• Duplicated car numbers at sign in may be asked to tape a letter or additional number for scoring purposes.
Limited Late Model Rules
All MMS General Rules apply with this division specific additions.
1. Engines-Steel Blocks only.
2. Heads-Cast only. No aluminum heads allowed.
3. Fuel Pumps-No belt driven ones allowed.
4. Carburetor-1-4 barrel carburetor only.
5. Intake-Aluminum or cast max 2” spacer.
6. Transmission-Any transmission with working forward and reverse. No direct drives.
7. Rear ends- Any rear ends allowed.
8. Fuel- Gas or alcohol.
9. Frames-Steel only. No bars may protrude at any point.
10. Spoilers-Maximum 8x72 inches.
11. Tires- Hoosiers 1600s or American Racers 56s on rear. Must punch 60, must punch 55 after the race, 5 tolerance, open tire rule on front.
12. Cages-Must be 4 point roll cage with at least 3 bars in driver’s door.
13. Weight-2350 pounds before qualifying, after heats and feature.
14. Body-BoB series body rules apply.
15. Traction/Suspension- No traction control devices or remote control suspension devices allowed
Anything not covered in these rules must be cleared by a Lucky 7 track official.
