2010 GENERAL RULES AND CONDUCT
Tazewell Speedway is private property. Through your admission ticket you have been given authority and the right to be on this property in conjunction with racing activities. However, the management reserves the right to revoke and cancel this right at any time it is felt that your presence or conduct is not in the best interest of the sport of auto racing, your fellow competitors or the fans. We expect courteous conduct from all participants at all times. Each and every one of you has an image to uphold for the fans. We will not tolerate profanity in front of race fans or officials. At any time your dress, actions or conduct is not in the best interest of Tazewell Speedway, you must leave the grounds.
There will be no drinking of alcoholic beverages before, during, or after the
racing program in the pits. Alcoholic beverages and controlled substances are not allowed at Tazewell Speedway property. Anyone caught with either of these on their person or in their equipment will be suspended up to two weeks for their first offense. A second offense may result in suspension for the season. In addition, any driver, car owner, or pit crew member caught drinking alcoholic beverages at any race will forfeit any money the car has won for this meet. Drivers are responsible for the entire crew.
No firearms are permitted on Tazewell Speedway property by anyone except uniformed police officers. The display or use of any type of weapon at any time will result in permanent suspension for all parties involved and will result in arrest of all parties involved.
Injuries received AT the track MUST be reported to officials BEFORE leaving premises. Failure to do so may result in non-payment of insurance claims. All claims MUST first be submitted to YOUR insurance carrier.
Any driver or crew member caught fighting or conducting inappropriate behavior may be suspended for up to two weeks on the first offense. Subsequent offenses may result in permanent suspension for the season. Drivers are responsible for their crew members.
Any disagreement over technical questions or decisions will be resolved by the officials. When their decision is rendered, it is final and binding and no further discussion will take place.
As driver/owner, you are an independent contractor and assume all responsibility for all charges, premiums and taxes, if any, payable on funds you may receive for your participation at any racing events at the speedway. Arrangements of purse payments to anyone other than the driver must be made in writing PRIOR to race night.
In case of protest, payoff may be held until the following week.
Any car or cars caught illegal receives no money. Points are lost on the race in which you are disqualified. If a driver/car owner refuses to a teardown, they forfeit all monies and points for that night's events. Flagrant cheating will draw a substantial fine.
Pit Rules
The pit area is a restricted area set aside for the preparation of race cars in competition. Each driver, owner, or mechanic will sign a release and purchase a pit pass before entering the pit area. Each driver will be held responsible for the conduct of each member of his team. Violators as determined by track officials will be subject to disqualifications or suspension.
Tazewell Speedway reserves the right to refuse admittance to the pit area to any person considered to be unqualified or detrimental to the sport of auto racing.
Anyone found guilty of letting another person use their pit pass will be subject to being asked to leave the premises.
If you are injured, please notify an official immediately for proper medical attention.
In the event of a "rain-out" everyone must hold onto their ticket/pit-pass. These will be used for the next event. There will be NO REFUNDS.
1. The officials will determine all finishing positions and their decisions are final.
2. Track management reserves the right to: update, modify, add to or delete any part of this rule book at any time without prior notification.
3. No driver; car owner or mechanic will have any claims for damages, expenses, or otherwise against the track, its officials, or other competitors.
4. All participants must be at least fifteen years old and have a driver's permit or valid driver’s license, minors must have a signed notarized release from parent or guardian.
5. All drivers, car owners, mechanics, and anyone else attempting to entering the pits must sign a release and purchase a pit pass.
6. No one under the age of fourteen (14) will be permitted in the lower pit area.
7. All cars must travel at a slow, safe speed while in the pits and under caution on the track.
8. No driver may get out of his car on the track or infield to argue or discuss the race with track officials. Failing to abide by this rule will result in disqualification and/or suspension.
9. No work can be done to the race cars on the track. All work must be done in the pit area. Any car that enters the pits at any time after one complete lap will be required to go to the rear of the field. If a car enters the pits for mechanical repairs because of a caution before the first lap is scored and is able too re-enter the race track before the 1 lap to go signal, said car will be allowed to regain it's starting position. After the "ONE TO GO" signal, all cars coming back to the track must go to the rear.
10. No car owner, mechanic, or crew member will be allowed on the track at any time unless he or she is asked to help by an official. Failure to abide by this rule will result in the car being restarted at the tail-end of the field. Drivers are responsible for their crew members.
11. Any car that enters the track after the parade lap has started for the initial start. Will start on the
rear. If you have to go to the pit area after the initial start for repairs. We will do everything possible to allow you to get your position back within reason The parade lap is two laps to go.
12. Cars will be allowed to enter or leave the track in Turn 1 only. If the pit-area is blocked, the car may enter in another location if told to do so by a track official.
13. Any loose parts such as; sheet metal, bumpers, hoods, deck lids or any apparent unsafe condition of; wheels, tires, steering, or other mechanical parts and/or excessive emission of smoke or steam and any leakage of any fluids shall all be deemed reason for ejection from the racing event. In the case of ejection due to these conditions, the driver may return to the race with the same car ONLY when the problem is corrected.
14. All cars are subject to inspection by track officials at any time.
15. New cars with minor infractions may be permitted a courtesy run. Track officials will determine any penalties necessary to offset those infractions.
16. In the event of a caution on the final lap of the race, the race will be finished unless the track is blocked or officials feel someone is in danger in which case the race will be re-started with a green, white, checkered flag in that order, or if the time limit for that race has expired, track officials may elect to re-start race with green and white flags followed by the checkered flag.
17. A driver is permitted to compete in only two divisions per racing program.
18. A car is permitted to compete in only one division per racing program.
19. If a driver registers late, he will be placed on the rear or first Track discretion of a drawing order or in the last position to attempt to qualify. The track reserves the right to change qualifying procedure for any race night.
20. If a car misses the three minute time limit to be in the staging lane or is out of position for its qualifying number will be allowed only one timed lap of time-trials or may be disqualified if its class receives only one lap of time trials
21. A driver change between qualifying and feature race will cause that car to be placed on rear of the feature race.
22. A driver change during feature race (initial green flag) will be considered a relief driver and the driver that started the car will receive the points that the car earns.
23. Points go with driver from week to week toward season totals. Drivers earn points according to where the car they started in the feature race, finishes in feature race.
24. Any driver found with any sharp objects on their car that is intended to cut a tire down on another car will be disqualified and suspended for a minimum of two weeks depending on the severity of the infraction.
25. Once the line-up has been set on the race track and a car pulls onto the racing surface, that car will automatically go to the tail-end of the field this being at the beginning of the race or after a caution. No Exceptions.
26. Any discrepancies in the finishing order must be taken up with the Race Director. All finishes will be posted ten minutes before the pay will be distributed. If you have a dispute with the finish have someone contact the race director immediately and the payoff will be held up until the dispute is settled. When the ten minutes are up all finishing positions will be final.
27. Any driver or crew member coming to the press box during a race to argue a call or scoring will be disqualified from all events that night including events that have already been completed. Driver will receive no pay or points for any event that night.
28. Layover Flag. If you're given the layover flag you are to move to the inside of the race track. If you fail to do so, the second time you receive the layover flag and you don't comply by the time you reach turn 1 a caution will be displayed and the car that didn't move over will be parked for the night. Whether you have been lapped or on the tail end of the lead lap you WILL BE REQUIRED TO MOVE DOWN. Also the leader or any other car lapping another car will be responsible for his own actions. If he dives to the lower lane and gets caught up in a accident and spins. He will go to the rear. Your warning will be given in the drivers meeting and there will be no discussion after the call has been made. Anyone taking advantage of the layover flag and passing a car you were racing with after he obeys the layover flag will also be parked.
Sign-In
1. It is the responsibility of each driver to sign in and draw for qualifying order/starting order upon arrival at the racetrack.
2. A schedule will be posted at each race event indicating the time that the drawing will end.
3. Any driver failing to draw for qualifying position or any driver arriving after draw has closed will receive only one (1) qualifying lap unless you're in a class that recieves only one lap, in which case you will not get to qualify, and will be added to the lineup according to track official's discretion.
Event Schedule
1. A schedule will be posted at each race event. The schedule may be revised in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
Practice
1. A schedule for hot laps (practice) by division will be posted at each race event.
2. Each division will be given one practice session. If a driver misses that session, he will not be permitted a make-up session
3. Under no circumstances will a car from one division be allowed to practice with another division.
4. The track reserves the right to determine how many cars in each division will practice at a time and reserves the right to determine which cars are in each practice session.
Qualifying
1. Steel-Head Late Models will receive two (2) qualifying laps with the faster of the two laps being recorded as the official time.
2. Crate Late Models will run two laps qualifying.
3. Modified Street will recieve one lap qualifying.
4. Other divisions may qualify for special events. In the case of additional qualifying, an announcement will be made at the Drivers Meeting.
5. Any driver not in position according to his draw will be allowed only one qualifying lap.
6. Once a driver has crossed the start/finish line for the green flag there will be no wave-off and the official qualifying lap will have begun.
7. All divisions not qualifying will draw for starting position.
8. The track reserves the right to change qualifying procedure for any race night.
Time Limits
Will be used in the event of a unusally long race. The following procedure will be used.
1. If the race is currently under caution, the race will be completed under a green-white-checkered condition.
2. If the race is currently under green, the race will continue until the next caution, and then will be finished under green-white-checkered.
3. Track officials reserve the right to change the number of laps in a race as needed.
Race Starts
1.The pole car sets the pace on starts. It is the responsibility of the car on the outside of the front row to remain beside the pole sitter. No drag down starts, or fast paced starts. Moderate pace only. No laying back. Cars must remain in position until the green flag is dropped. Any driver that "jumps the start" may be penalized one or more positions; placed at the rear and/or penalized a lap. IF EITHER ONE OR BOTH FRONT ROW STARTERS DOES NOT TAKEOFF, WHEN THE GREEN FLAG IS THROWN, THEY WILL HAVE TO START AT THE TAIL-END OF THE FIELD ON THE RESTART. NO WARNINGS. NO EXCEPTIONS.
2. All original starts will be double file start upon the Flagman's command (waving of the green flag and/or green light).
2. A cone will be placed on the track between Turn 4 and the Start/Finish line. All race starts will be made when the pole sitter gets to the cone. The pole car must fire at the cone and not before. Firing before the cone will draw a warning. A second offense will draw a penalty and the offending driver will be put back one row.
3. There will be no passing or firing before the cone regardless of starting position.
4. If the caution flag comes out before all the cars complete the first lap, the race will be restarted using the original double file restart.
5. Any car going to the pit before the first lap is complete may return to his original starting position provided he is in position when the one-lap to go signal is given.
6. The track reserves the right to go to a single file start after three restarts.
Restarts
1. All restarts after the first completed green flag lap will be single file and will be lined up using positions held in the last completed green flag lap.
2. Single file restarts will be made with all lead lap cars being placed in front of all lapped cars. Lapped cars will line up behind all lead lap cars in the order they completed the last green flag lap.
3. On restarts, the leader must fire at the cone between turns 3 and 4. There will be no passing before the cone and no driver will be allowed to go below the cone.
4. Any driver passing before or going below the cone will be placed at the rear of all the cars. A second offense will result in removal from the event and the car will not be scored.
Caution Flag
TAZEWELL SPEEDWAY HAS A "NO JUDGEMENT" CAUTION RULE, WHICH MEANS, ANY CAR THAT CAUSES A CAUTION TO BE THROWN WILL BE SENT TO THE REAR OF THE FIELD. UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT OR ROUGH DRIVING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED AND WILL BE DEALT WITH ACCORDINGLY.
1. All cars should immediately slow down upon seeing the caution flag and lights. The cars will be scored using the last completed green flag. There will be no racing back to the flag.
2. Any driver continuing to race after the caution is displayed will be subject to penalty including being sent to the rear, or disqualified from the event at the discretion of the Race Director.
3. All cars causing a caution will be sent to the rear of the lap they are running in.
4. The decision of who is involved in the caution will be made by the Race Director and will not be subject to review or reversal. Any driver or crew member coming to the press box during a race to argue such a call will be disqualified from all events that night. Driver will receive no pay or points for any event that night.
5. Any car going to the pits under caution will be placed at the rear of the field regardless of laps completed.
6. Any car causing three cautions will be sent to the pits for the remainder of the event and will not be allowed to reenter the race.
7. Any car intentionally causing a caution without a mechanical problem will be penalized one lap.
Driver Changes
1. A driver may drive in no more than two divisions per racing event.
2. Any driver change that has not been approved by the Race Director will result in car and driver receiving no points and no money for the night.
3. There will be no driver changes made after a race has received the first green flag.
4. Any driver change attempted after qualifying will result in car starting at the rear of the field.
5. Points will be given only to the driver starting the race.
Radios and Mirrors
1. Radios are not allowed in any class
2. Mirrors will not be allowed in any class
Penalties
1. Speedway officials will display the caution flag for any incidents considered to be rough driving.
2. The driver judged to be rough driving would be placed at the rear of the field for the first offense, suspended from the event for the second offense, and suspended for the remainder of the racing season for the third offense.
3. A car that intentionally hits or rams another car while under caution will be disqualified from an event. All points and pay for the night will be forfeited and the car and driver will be immediately removed from the premises.
4. Any physical confrontation, either on the racing surface or in the pits, will result in the aggressor being escorted from the Speedway, suspended from the next two racing events and a possible fine may be implemented before they are allowed to return. A second offense will result in suspension for the remainder of the racing season.
5. Any driver who enters another driver's pit area will be considered the aggressor. If the incident occurs away from either driver's pit area, both drivers may be considered the aggressor.
6. Drivers will be held responsible for the action of all crewmembers and the penalty may be applied to the driver if a crewmember is involved in an incident.
7. Any physical confrontation with an official of Tazewell Speedway will result in lifetime ban from Tazewell Speedway.
8. Speedway officials reserve the right to increase or decrease the above penalties based on the severity of the incident.
9. No one except Speedway officials is allowed on the racing surface at any time during the race. A crew member going out on the track will result in the immediate disqualification of the driver.
Safety Equipment
1. Fire extinguishers must be mounted in each car and must be in working order.
2. Battery must be securely mounted in a box or case of some kind. If it is inside the car, it must have a cover.
3. A 5-point racing harness is required in all cars. Date on belts should be no more than three (3) years old.
4. Racing seat is required. NO fiberglass.
5. Add-on weights must be made of lead only. They must be painted white, have the car number on them and be securely bolted to the car using a minimum of 2 bolts. Penalty will be starting at the rear of the field of the next feature.
6. Drive shaft must be painted white and have the car number on it.
7. A full fire suit is MANDATORY for every competing driver. Any driver not wearing a fire suit will not be permitted to race.
8. All drivers must wear a Snell-approved helmet. A full-face helmet is recommended.
9. A window net is recommended but not required.
10. Fire retardant gloves are highly recommended.
11. No electronic or computer devices or data acquisition systems or traction-controlled devices are allowed on the racetrack at any time.
12. Any weights falling off a car during a race will result in a disqualification against the car.
Flags
1. Green: The green flag is the indication for the racing to begin.
2. Yellow: The yellow flag is for caution, meaning there is some kind of hazard on the racing surface. When the yellow flag is displayed, racing stops. Any car continuing to race or failing to slow down as soon as a caution is displayed may be immediately disqualified from the event.
3. Blue: Yellow: The blue-yellow flag indicated that the leader and/or faster cars are closing on a slower car. The driver receiving the blue-yellow flag must move to the inside and allow the faster cars to pass on the outside. A driver who fails to move down after the move over flag is displayed will be given a warning. If the driver again fails to move down, he will be black flagged and removed from the race.
4. Black: The black flag is a consultation flag and indicates that the driver must come to the pits immediately for consultation with a race official.
5. Red: The red flag will be displayed when the track is blocked or in cases where safety is a factor. In the case of a red flag, all cars should stop immediately.
6. White: When the white flag is displayed, it means the leader has started his last lap. If on the white flag lap the caution is displayed, all cars, regardless of their location on the track, will slow down and maintain position. We will revert back to the last completed green flag lap and on the restart there will be a green, white, checkered finish.
7. Checkered: When a checkered flag is displayed, it means the race is completed. When the checkered flag is given to the leader, the balance of the field receives the checkered flag on the same lap.

2010 Tazewell Speedway Safety Rules
THESE RULES APPLY TO ALL DIVISIONS AND WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED
31 Racing Inc./Tazewell Speedway shall incur no liability to any party, whether a participant, spectator, guest or invitee.
1. Nomex Type SFI 1, 3, or 5 rated firesuit and shoes or equivalent required. Nomex type or equivalent fire resistant socks are recommended. Fire resistant underwear is recommended when SFI-1 or equivalent firesuits are worn. SFI or equivalent rated neck collars and gloves are recommended. Firesuits and related accessories must be kept clean and in good repair without rips, tears, holes nor excessively soiled with grease or oil.
2. Snell approved full face helmet (SA95 or newer) with Lexan face shield is mandatory. Helmet chin strap must be Nomex covered. Helmets must not show signs of abuse. Helmets which are abused, thrown or involved in an injury accident will be confiscated by Officials for inspection.
3. Window nets are mandatory. A nylon mesh window net must be installed in the left side driver's door opening.
4. A toggle type ignition kill switch must be easily accessible to driver and safety crew and placed to the LEFT of the driver.
5. Center of steering wheel must be padded.
6. NASCAR, SFI approved or equivalent, factory manufactured, racing bucket seat. Must be upholstered and padded. No homemade seats of any kind including but not necessarily limited to those made of aluminum, plastic or fiberglass. A minimum of 6#, 3/8' grade 8 bolts required for seat mount. Seats must be bolted to a seat rail, minimum 1/8" x 1"o.d. round or square tube that is to be welded to the roll cage separate of chassis. Approved padded headrest mandatory.
7. A quick release five point harness system required. A submarine (crotch) belt is mandatory. All belt ends must be attached to roll bar cage separately from the seat with 3/8" grade 8 bolt min. Belts must come from behind the driver. Worn belts must be replaced. Belts or harnesses over 3 years old will not be allowed. Assemblies whose manufacture date is either not marked or illegible will not be allowed.
8. An on-board fire extinguishing system (Phoenix or equivalent) using Halon (inert gas) or equivalent is recommended. If using an on-board system, valve plunger (actuator) must be mounted to the right of driver, within easy reach of the driver and in plain view. On-board system will be inspected and must be passed by Technical Inspector. If no on-board system is installed, a minimum five pound A-B-C type (dry powder) fire extinguisher must be mounted within easy reach of driver's in an approved, quick release type bracket. Fire bottles may not be tied to a nearby bar (i.e. with zip-ties, duct tape or bailing wire).
9. Drivers caught on track without all safety equipment on will be black flagged from racetrack. Once cleared by race Official with all safety equipment properly on, driver will return to track at the rear of the field. All race cars are subject to a safety inspection and it is the responsibility of the driver to see that the car is inspected before competition.
10. All weight added to the car must be securely mounted with a minimum of two 3/8 grade 8 bolts. It must be painted white and the car number must be visible.
2010 Tazewell Speedway Protest Rules
These protest rules apply to all divisions at Tazewell Speedway. Protest fees are as follows:
Visual- $50.00 must be done prior to the race before your class gets onto the track. ($25 Tech-Fee)
$350.00 to pull a cylinder head. ($50.00 Tech-Fee)
$800.00 to go all the way through to the oil pan ($200 Tech-Fee)
There will be a $100.00 protest fee to pull intake or rear end, the track will retain a $25.00 tech fee.
Any class that is limited by a C.I. or a C.C rule will have a P&G protest rule. P&G protest will be $75 with $25 going to the track. Track reserves the right to P&G at any time.
Four cylinder class no longer subject to P&G. Pulling a head is $150 with $25 going to the track in Four Cylinder ONLY.
The track reserves the right to check cars at any time without payment of fee.
Any protest (other than a visual) must be made within five minutes after completion of the feature race for that class. To protest, the driver must be in the top-five and on the lead lap. Only the driver will be able to put up money to protest. (NO CREW MEMBERS, CAR OWNERS, ETC. WILL BE ALLOWED TO PUT UP MONEY TO PROTEST, DRIVER ONLY.)
ONLY CARS FINISHING IN THE TOP FIVE MAY BE PROTESTED, AND ONLY BY THE DRIVERS THAT FINISH IN THE TOP FIVE. YOU MAY PROTEST A CAR THAT FINISHED BEHIND YOU, BUT ONLY IF THAT DRIVER IS THE ONE THAT PROTESTED YOUR CAR.
You must have the written protest and the money in cash to the Race Director within the five minutes from completion of the race. Once protest money has been paid, protest cannot be withdrawn, only disallowed by an official. All protest decisions will be made by track officials and are final. Track officials have the authority to hold protested parts, for further evaluation and testing, for two business days, before making a decision. If a decision cannot be made immediately, payoff for that class will not be made until the next week's event.
During tear down, only the driver and two crew members on the car being inspected are permitted to be in the teardown area along with Tazewell Speedway officials.
When the protested part is ready for checking, the driver and one crew member from the protesting team will be permitted to witness the inspection.
If the protested car is illegal, the protest fee will be returned minus the tech fee. If protested car is legal, that car receives the protest fee minus the tech fee. Anyone refusing to cooperate during the inspection will be considered illegal. Failure to comply with any protest will result in the car being declared illegal.
When any car is found illegal in the inspection or protest following a race, that car and driver will forfeit all moneys and points accumulated that day/night. If found illegal a second time, or for a blatant violation of rules, driver is subject to a one or two race suspension depending on the severity of the violation. Track officials will make final decision.
Any discrepancies in the finishing order must be taken up with the Race Director within ten minutes from the time the finishes are posted.
2010 Tazewell Speedway Super Late Model Rules
Lucas Oil Series rules apply in car, frames, body, roll cages, fuel systems, transmission, rear ends, wheels, shocks and springs, remote control suspension device, traction control ($300 buy rule) and safety equipment.

Block: OEM cast iron or after market steel block crank. Any steel crank with the exception of titanium and or other exotic materials.
Bore & Stroke:Optional
Rods: Steel rod only. No titanium or aluminum
Cam: Roller permitted. Flat tappet cam 50lb weight break
Piston: Flat top piston and pins only. Zero deck, piston cannot come out of hole. No Tolerance.
Ignition: Any type permitted. No traction control allowed. MSD units or equivalent electronic boxes may be bought for $300

2010 Tazewell Speedway Modified Street Rules
Eligible Models
Any factory U.S. production models made in 1965 or after. No trucks, station wagons or convertibles. Minimum wheel base for any car is 107 inches. The car must be full stock frame. Tube frames will NOT be allowed. The following are the only changes permitted, everything else must remain stock.
Bodies
Steel aftermarket stock appearing bodies allowed. Roof may be fiberglass and hood may be aluminum. Must retain stock fire wall and floor pan in stock location. Floor pan must extend to the rear seat area. Floor pan can be reinforced with steel plate. Plastic nose and tail permitted. Tail piece is required. May be enclosed with sheet medal. Interior sheet metal between rear quarter panels no lower than 3 inches from top of quarters. A five inch tall spoiler is allowed. No side braces allowed. All glass, head lights, exterior lights and trim must be removed. Front and rear wheel openings may be trimmed for tire clearance. No sharp edges. Steel tube front and rear bumpers may replace stock bumpers. Front bumper may be made of maximum 1 ½ o.d. x .125 thickness or 1 ¾ o.d. x .095 thickness tubing. Rear may be a maximum of 2 x 3 o.d. x .125 thickness rectangular tubing.
All body parts must be inplace to start the race. Track discretion if you're involved in a accident.
Roll Cage
ALL CARS MUST HAVE A SIX (6) POINT ROLL CAGE. Roll bar material must be minimum 1 ½ inch o.d. tubing by .095 thickness. It is recommended that welded joints have a gusset of minimum 1/8" thick steel. No conduit, thin-wall tubing or cast-iron pipe fittings will be permitted. All roll bar installations are subject to approval by the Technical Inspector. Door bars are mandatory and must extend into the door panels. A minimum of three door bars with six vertical studs equally spaced are required on the drivers side. Right side X is permitted. All bars within reasonable reach of the driver must be padded. Side wing bars are mandatory on both sides of the roll cage, and must extend downward at 90E degrees from the apex of upper forward roll bar bend, to top of the side door bar. The side wing bars must be the same material as Roll Cage. (minimum 1½ x .095). Uni body cars may tie the front clip to the rear clip. The rear-clip may be reinforced with round or box steel tubing (2" x 3" recommended). One or more bars are required from left front upright of roll cage to the frame for foot protection. Rear clip may be clipped from rear of floor pan back with a max of 2X3.125 tubing.
Weight Requirements
Car must weigh 3,000 pounds (with driver) before qualifying and before the race. Any car not meeting the minimum weight requirement prior to qualifying will not qualify. Any car that fails the weight requirement before the race will add the weight and start in the rear. All weight added to the car must be securely mounted with a minimum of two 3/8 grade 8 bolts. It must be painted white and the car number must be visible. Any weight dropped on the racing surface will result in immediate disqualification.
Engine Restrictions
Engine must be stock production. Engines may be interchanged within corporate manufacturer lines (i.e. any GM motor into any GM car) Maximum cubic inch for any GM engine is 362, Ford 362, Chrysler 372. No V-6 engines allowed.
Engine Block
O.E.M. cast iron, may be 2 or 4 bolt main. Aftermarket main caps allowed. Engine must remain in stock location, 1 inch tolerance.
Cylinder Heads
O.E.M. stock cast iron GM or World Products Part numbers 4265, 4266, and 4267 only. Any after market head that has same spec's as GM stock cast iron head. Must be the same. No aluminum heads permitted. Maximum valve size for GM 2.02/1.60, Ford 2.04/1.65, Chrysler 2.02/1.62. No angle plug heads allowed. Vortec cast iron heads are allowed. No porting, polishing, gasket matching or grinding allowed. May be angle milled. Three angle valve job permitted. Stainless steel valves permitted.
Crankshaft
Stock or aftermarket crankshafts allowed, must be of stock stroke and weight. (i.e. GM 350 = 3.480 stroke), cast 48 lbs., steel 50 lbs. May be balanced.
Connecting Rods
Stock or any aftermarket steel rods permitted. No aluminum or titanium rods allowed.
Pistons
Cast or forged, flat top pistons only. Zero deck (piston can not come out of the hole). No tolerance.
Timing Components
Any high performance camshaft allowed, except no roller or mushroom camshafts. Stock type solid or stock type hydraulic lifters only. No roller or mushroom lifters permitted. Dual roller timing chain or gear drive permitted.
Rocker Arms
Stock, long slot or roller rockers allowed. Rocker arm studs may be pinned or screw in studs. Guide plates, poly locks and stud girdles allowed. Shaft mounted rockers not permitted. Valve springs and retainers optional.
Oil Pump/Pan/Valve Covers
Stock or aftermarket permitted. Wet sump only.
Intake Manifold
Cast iron or aluminum intakes only. All intake manifolds must be untouched, as originally manufactured by the factory. Any manifold that is determined to be modified will be subject to disqualification. No homemade intake manifolds allowed.
Exhaust
Headers allowed. No turn downs. Must run parallel to the ground, may run side to side.
Carburetor
750 CFM maximum. Single pump, dual line, vacuum secondary carburetor only. Choke may be removed, but choke horn must remain. Two inch maximum adapter plate permitted, .025 tolerance. No alterations to venturi. Mechanical throttle linkage must have toe strap. A minimum of two return springs required on carburetor. 1 gasket per surface .070 max on gaskets.
Fuel And Fuel Cell
Pump and racing fuel allowed (no additives). No Methanol, alcohol or nitrous oxide allowed. A fuel cell is required. The pick up must be located on the top of the fuel cell. Maximum capacity cannot exceed 22 gallons. Fuel cells must be contained in a completely enclosed 18 gauge steel container. No aluminum fuel cells are allowed. All fuel cells must be vented and have a screw type cap. Must have coiled tube to prevent leaking of fuel in the event of a roll over. Vent check valves are optional but the loop is mandatory. Cell may not hang lower than the rear end housing and must have a cell guard minimum 1 1/2" tube to bottom of cell. Gas cap may not extend thru body. When plumbing any fuel related item, DO NOT USE PLUMBERS TAPE. Fuel pump must be mechanical, mounted in stock location. No electric fuel pumps or pressurized tank systems of any type permitted. Fuel injection or superchargers not permitted. Easily accessible fuel shut-off valve is recommended on right side of the driver.
Ignition
May use heavy duty, factory electronic and HEI units (stock housing, any cap, rotor, module or coil). No MSD units (rev limiters permitted). No crank triggered ignition or computers.
Water Pumps
May use cast stock or aftermarket aluminum pumps.
Radiator
Aftermarket aluminum radiator and fan shroud permitted. Must have catch tank on radiator overflow, minimum two quarts. Any car leaking water on the track will be black flagged.
Power Steering Pumps
Stock or aftermarket block mounted power steering pumps allowed. May use external reservoir. Steering may be quickened.
Pulleys
Any steel or aluminum pulleys permitted.
Air Cleaner
Any type of air cleaner permitted. No air boxes and no funneling devices.
Battery
Only one battery may be used, automotive or marine battery permitted. Battery may be mounted in trunk area. All batteries must be securely mounted with an angle iron frame on top and bottom. Batteries mounted in drivers compartment must have a complete rubber covering. No plastic battery boxes permitted.
Starter
Stock, aftermarket replacement or mini starter okay. Must mount in stock location on block. No reverse or bell housing mount starters allowed.
Flywheel

Any clutch will be allowed.
Transmission
Stock type O.E.M. manual or automatic transmissions only. Must have forward and reverse. Converter- less automatics okay. No Bert or Brinn transmissions or direct drive allowed. All vehicles must have operational reverse gear and be able to shift from forward to reverse with the engine running. Transmission oil coolers, if used, must be securely mounted outside of drivers compartment. It is recommended that manual transmissions have a SEMA/NASCAR approved steel bell housing or scatter shield and automatics use a blanket or approved scatter shield. Stock or 9 inch Ford allowed, any gear, full spools, mini-spools or welded spider gears allowed. No quick change, Detroit locker or gold track units allowed. No wide five hubs. Material should be ¼ in thick and 2 inches wide. May use any type of brakes.
Steering and Suspension
OEM steering box only. No racks. Center link and tie rods may be fabricated. Tubular upper a-frames allowed. Bite bolts allowed. Front shocks may be relocated. Aftermarket springs may be used. Any rear suspension allowed (other than birdcages).
Wheels and Tires
Any U.S. manufactured steel wheel permitted, 10 inch maximum width bead to bead. No lightweight or aluminum wheels. Center of wheel must be of heavy duty construction. 5/8 wheel studs mandatory. ½ inch wheel spacers allowed, one per wheel. No wheel adaptors allowed. Wheel off-set optional. Bead locks permitted on all four wheels. Any track approved D.O.T tire allowed. Hoosier RC-3 and American Racer DT-48 and 48 27.5BT tire compounds tire compounds are permitted. No grooving or alterations. Rear tires will have a punch rule! No mud and snow or recap tires permitted.
Radios and Mirrors
No type of radio or any other two-way communication with the driver will be permitted. Mirrors are not permitted.

2010 Pure Street Rules
Eligible Models
Open to passenger automobiles and pick up trucks (no station wagons, convertibles or t-tops) with a minimum wheelbase of 108 inches. Any year allowed. Absolutely no performance modifications are allowed unless specified below. In general, anything that improves the performance of the car over and above its factory capabilities is illegal. Anything to improve safety is generally permitted.
Bodies
Must be absolutely stock except as modified for safety. Can shell hoods and deck lids for safety, can replace doors with sheet metal, must be stock appearing. No cutting of any body parts. Fenders may be cut up to a maximum of 4" around the tire for clearance. Driver and passenger doors must be gutted for door bars. Roof may be partially gutted for cage clearance (only area immediately around main roll bar and halo bar may be gutted). Front fender wells may be removed. Radiator support may be removed and bars added for protection. Any repairs to body must be metal and a maximum of 1/16" thick. All plastic, pot metal, glass, chrome and rubber exterior moldings, decor, grill, etc. must be completely removed. In general, anything that may fall off the car and become debris should be removed. The grill must be replaced with wire mesh. The stock dash metal must remain. Removal of the back seat and all excess upholstery is required. All doors must be welded shut. No gutting of hoods or trunk lids. Trunk and hood must be pinned, hoods must be secured in such a fashion as to permit easy opening in the event of fire. Interior gutting of the body to remove excess weight is NOT permitted. . A five inch tall spoiler is permitted, no sides allowed. No rub rails. Plastic nose and tail piece permitted. Cars with plastic nose and tail piece may replace stock bumpers with steel tube front and rear bumpers. Front bumper may be made of maximum 1 ½ o.d. x .125 thickness or 1 ¾ o.d. x .095 thickness tubing. Rear may be a maximum of 2 x 3 o.d. x .125 thickness rectangular tubing.

No changing heads to raise compression (305 heads on 350). Balancing permitted. Stock engine location must be maintained. Aftermarket valve covers are allowed. Aftermarket steel or aluminum pulleys are allowed. Aftermarket fan allowed no electric fans. Aftermarket air cleaners OK. No funneling or air-flow enhancing devices allowed. Protest for checking cam is $150. Must pull intake to check cam.
Cylinder Heads
Must be stock for make and model. O.E.M. stock cast iron GM or World Products replacement part numbers 4360 or 4267 only. No double hump or fuelie heads permitted. In general, anything that improves the performance of the car over and above its factory capabilities is illegal. Anything to improve safety is generally permitted.
BODY
Must retain stock OEM floor pan and firewalls in stock location. Floor pan can be reinforced with steel plate. Any type of bodies can be run as long as they have OEM floor pan and firewalls in stock location (TRACK JUDGEMENT). Aftermarket front and rear bumper covers permitted (rear optional). All glass, plastic emblems and trim must be removed. No bump bars. Spoiler 4" max with 5" side boards.
WEIGHT
Cars will be weighed before the race. Cars with OEM stock engines must weigh a minimum of 2,100 pounds (with driver). In order to qualify for this weight, you must have a completely stock engine except for a header and Holly 4412 (500CFM) carburetor. Cars with engine modifications must weigh a minimum of one pound per cc. For example, a car with a 2,300 cc engine must weigh a minimum of 2,300 pounds (with driver). Cars with an aftermarket aluminum head will add an additional 200 pounds to the one pound per cc rule with 100 pounds of the weight to go in front of the bellhousing. For example, a car with a 2300 cc engine and an aftermarket aluminum head would weigh a minimum of 2500 pounds (with driver). Cars with a stock aluminum head will add an additional 100 pounds to the one pound per cc rule. Any car that fails the weight requirement before the race will add the weight and start in the rear. Minimum weight is 2200 pounds for steel head engines, cars with stock aluminum or aftermarket aluminum heads must add weight as mentioned above.

Stock frames only. May be reinforced. No tube frames allowed.
REAR END
Stock OEM rear end or Nine Inch Ford rear-ends only. May be locked. Any gear allowed.
TRANSMISSION
Stock OEM type transmissions only. Must have all working forward and reverse gears. Stock steel flywheels only. No modifications. No exceptions. Racing clutch allowed, no ram couplers or direct drives. Bell housing must have a two inch inspection hole in the bottom to view flywheel and clutch. If not, removal of transmission may be required.

Four cylinder engines only. One spark plug and two valves per cylinder. Engine must match body.
Holly 4412 (500CFM) will be the only carburetor permitted. No modifications will be permitted other than the choke being removed. Adapter permitted. Choke horn must remain intact. All cars must have an operating starter.
RADIATORS
Must have catch tank on radiator overflow, minimum two quarts. Any car leaking water on the track will be black flagged.
FUEL AND FUEL CELL
Pump and racing fuel allowed (no additives). No Methanol, alcohol or nitrous oxide allowed.
A fuel cell is required. The pick up must be located on the top of the fuel cell. Maximum capacity cannot exceed 22 gallons. Fuel cells must be contained in a completely enclosed 18 gauge steel container. No aluminum fuel cells are allowed. All fuel cells must be vented and have a screw type cap. Must have coiled tube to prevent leaking of fuel in the event of a roll over. Vent check valves are optional but the loop is mandatory. Cell may not hang lower than the rear end housing and must have a cell guard minimum 1 1/2" tube to bottom of cell. Gas cap may not extend thru body. When plumbing any fuel related item, DO NOT USE PLUMBERS TAPE.
FUEL PUMP
Must be mechanical, mounted in stock location. No electric fuel pumps or pressurized tank systems of any type permitted. Fuel injection or superchargers not permitted. Easily accessible fuel shut-off valve is recommended on right side of the driver.
WHEELS
Any U.S. manufactured steel wheel permitted, 13" x 8" inch maximum width bead to bead. No lightweight or aluminum wheels. Center of wheel must be of heavy duty construction. No wheel adaptors allowed. Wheel off-set optional. Bead locks permitted on all four wheels.
TIRES
Hoosier RC-1 and RC-4 and American Racer 33 & 44 permitted. Mixing of compounds allowed. Numbers must remain visible on tires. DOT street tires not allowed.
RADIOS AND MIRRORS
No Radios or Mirrors.
Tazewell Speedway is private property. Through your admission ticket you have been given authority and the right to be on this property in conjunction with racing activities. However, the management reserves the right to revoke and cancel this right at any time it is felt that your presence or conduct is not in the best interest of the sport of auto racing, your fellow competitors or the fans. We expect courteous conduct from all participants at all times. Each and every one of you has an image to uphold for the fans. We will not tolerate profanity in front of race fans or officials. At any time your dress, actions or conduct is not in the best interest of Tazewell Speedway, you must leave the grounds.
There will be no drinking of alcoholic beverages before, during, or after the
racing program in the pits. Alcoholic beverages and controlled substances are not allowed at Tazewell Speedway property. Anyone caught with either of these on their person or in their equipment will be suspended up to two weeks for their first offense. A second offense may result in suspension for the season. In addition, any driver, car owner, or pit crew member caught drinking alcoholic beverages at any race will forfeit any money the car has won for this meet. Drivers are responsible for the entire crew.
No firearms are permitted on Tazewell Speedway property by anyone except uniformed police officers. The display or use of any type of weapon at any time will result in permanent suspension for all parties involved and will result in arrest of all parties involved.
Injuries received AT the track MUST be reported to officials BEFORE leaving premises. Failure to do so may result in non-payment of insurance claims. All claims MUST first be submitted to YOUR insurance carrier.
Any driver or crew member caught fighting or conducting inappropriate behavior may be suspended for up to two weeks on the first offense. Subsequent offenses may result in permanent suspension for the season. Drivers are responsible for their crew members.
Any disagreement over technical questions or decisions will be resolved by the officials. When their decision is rendered, it is final and binding and no further discussion will take place.
As driver/owner, you are an independent contractor and assume all responsibility for all charges, premiums and taxes, if any, payable on funds you may receive for your participation at any racing events at the speedway. Arrangements of purse payments to anyone other than the driver must be made in writing PRIOR to race night.
In case of protest, payoff may be held until the following week.
Any car or cars caught illegal receives no money. Points are lost on the race in which you are disqualified. If a driver/car owner refuses to a teardown, they forfeit all monies and points for that night's events. Flagrant cheating will draw a substantial fine.
Pit Rules
The pit area is a restricted area set aside for the preparation of race cars in competition. Each driver, owner, or mechanic will sign a release and purchase a pit pass before entering the pit area. Each driver will be held responsible for the conduct of each member of his team. Violators as determined by track officials will be subject to disqualifications or suspension.
Tazewell Speedway reserves the right to refuse admittance to the pit area to any person considered to be unqualified or detrimental to the sport of auto racing.
Anyone found guilty of letting another person use their pit pass will be subject to being asked to leave the premises.
If you are injured, please notify an official immediately for proper medical attention.
In the event of a "rain-out" everyone must hold onto their ticket/pit-pass. These will be used for the next event. There will be NO REFUNDS.
1. The officials will determine all finishing positions and their decisions are final.
2. Track management reserves the right to: update, modify, add to or delete any part of this rule book at any time without prior notification.
3. No driver; car owner or mechanic will have any claims for damages, expenses, or otherwise against the track, its officials, or other competitors.
4. All participants must be at least fifteen years old and have a driver's permit or valid driver’s license, minors must have a signed notarized release from parent or guardian.
5. All drivers, car owners, mechanics, and anyone else attempting to entering the pits must sign a release and purchase a pit pass.
6. No one under the age of fourteen (14) will be permitted in the lower pit area.
7. All cars must travel at a slow, safe speed while in the pits and under caution on the track.
8. No driver may get out of his car on the track or infield to argue or discuss the race with track officials. Failing to abide by this rule will result in disqualification and/or suspension.
9. No work can be done to the race cars on the track. All work must be done in the pit area. Any car that enters the pits at any time after one complete lap will be required to go to the rear of the field. If a car enters the pits for mechanical repairs because of a caution before the first lap is scored and is able too re-enter the race track before the 1 lap to go signal, said car will be allowed to regain it's starting position. After the "ONE TO GO" signal, all cars coming back to the track must go to the rear.
10. No car owner, mechanic, or crew member will be allowed on the track at any time unless he or she is asked to help by an official. Failure to abide by this rule will result in the car being restarted at the tail-end of the field. Drivers are responsible for their crew members.
11. Any car that enters the track after the parade lap has started for the initial start. Will start on the
rear. If you have to go to the pit area after the initial start for repairs. We will do everything possible to allow you to get your position back within reason The parade lap is two laps to go.
12. Cars will be allowed to enter or leave the track in Turn 1 only. If the pit-area is blocked, the car may enter in another location if told to do so by a track official.
13. Any loose parts such as; sheet metal, bumpers, hoods, deck lids or any apparent unsafe condition of; wheels, tires, steering, or other mechanical parts and/or excessive emission of smoke or steam and any leakage of any fluids shall all be deemed reason for ejection from the racing event. In the case of ejection due to these conditions, the driver may return to the race with the same car ONLY when the problem is corrected.
14. All cars are subject to inspection by track officials at any time.
15. New cars with minor infractions may be permitted a courtesy run. Track officials will determine any penalties necessary to offset those infractions.
16. In the event of a caution on the final lap of the race, the race will be finished unless the track is blocked or officials feel someone is in danger in which case the race will be re-started with a green, white, checkered flag in that order, or if the time limit for that race has expired, track officials may elect to re-start race with green and white flags followed by the checkered flag.
17. A driver is permitted to compete in only two divisions per racing program.
18. A car is permitted to compete in only one division per racing program.
19. If a driver registers late, he will be placed on the rear or first Track discretion of a drawing order or in the last position to attempt to qualify. The track reserves the right to change qualifying procedure for any race night.
20. If a car misses the three minute time limit to be in the staging lane or is out of position for its qualifying number will be allowed only one timed lap of time-trials or may be disqualified if its class receives only one lap of time trials
21. A driver change between qualifying and feature race will cause that car to be placed on rear of the feature race.
22. A driver change during feature race (initial green flag) will be considered a relief driver and the driver that started the car will receive the points that the car earns.
23. Points go with driver from week to week toward season totals. Drivers earn points according to where the car they started in the feature race, finishes in feature race.
24. Any driver found with any sharp objects on their car that is intended to cut a tire down on another car will be disqualified and suspended for a minimum of two weeks depending on the severity of the infraction.
25. Once the line-up has been set on the race track and a car pulls onto the racing surface, that car will automatically go to the tail-end of the field this being at the beginning of the race or after a caution. No Exceptions.
26. Any discrepancies in the finishing order must be taken up with the Race Director. All finishes will be posted ten minutes before the pay will be distributed. If you have a dispute with the finish have someone contact the race director immediately and the payoff will be held up until the dispute is settled. When the ten minutes are up all finishing positions will be final.
27. Any driver or crew member coming to the press box during a race to argue a call or scoring will be disqualified from all events that night including events that have already been completed. Driver will receive no pay or points for any event that night.
28. Layover Flag. If you're given the layover flag you are to move to the inside of the race track. If you fail to do so, the second time you receive the layover flag and you don't comply by the time you reach turn 1 a caution will be displayed and the car that didn't move over will be parked for the night. Whether you have been lapped or on the tail end of the lead lap you WILL BE REQUIRED TO MOVE DOWN. Also the leader or any other car lapping another car will be responsible for his own actions. If he dives to the lower lane and gets caught up in a accident and spins. He will go to the rear. Your warning will be given in the drivers meeting and there will be no discussion after the call has been made. Anyone taking advantage of the layover flag and passing a car you were racing with after he obeys the layover flag will also be parked.
Sign-In
1. It is the responsibility of each driver to sign in and draw for qualifying order/starting order upon arrival at the racetrack.
2. A schedule will be posted at each race event indicating the time that the drawing will end.
3. Any driver failing to draw for qualifying position or any driver arriving after draw has closed will receive only one (1) qualifying lap unless you're in a class that recieves only one lap, in which case you will not get to qualify, and will be added to the lineup according to track official's discretion.
Event Schedule
1. A schedule will be posted at each race event. The schedule may be revised in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
Practice
1. A schedule for hot laps (practice) by division will be posted at each race event.
2. Each division will be given one practice session. If a driver misses that session, he will not be permitted a make-up session
3. Under no circumstances will a car from one division be allowed to practice with another division.
4. The track reserves the right to determine how many cars in each division will practice at a time and reserves the right to determine which cars are in each practice session.
Qualifying
1. Steel-Head Late Models will receive two (2) qualifying laps with the faster of the two laps being recorded as the official time.
2. Crate Late Models will run two laps qualifying.
3. Modified Street will recieve one lap qualifying.
4. Other divisions may qualify for special events. In the case of additional qualifying, an announcement will be made at the Drivers Meeting.
5. Any driver not in position according to his draw will be allowed only one qualifying lap.
6. Once a driver has crossed the start/finish line for the green flag there will be no wave-off and the official qualifying lap will have begun.
7. All divisions not qualifying will draw for starting position.
8. The track reserves the right to change qualifying procedure for any race night.
Time Limits
Will be used in the event of a unusally long race. The following procedure will be used.
1. If the race is currently under caution, the race will be completed under a green-white-checkered condition.
2. If the race is currently under green, the race will continue until the next caution, and then will be finished under green-white-checkered.
3. Track officials reserve the right to change the number of laps in a race as needed.
Race Starts
1.The pole car sets the pace on starts. It is the responsibility of the car on the outside of the front row to remain beside the pole sitter. No drag down starts, or fast paced starts. Moderate pace only. No laying back. Cars must remain in position until the green flag is dropped. Any driver that "jumps the start" may be penalized one or more positions; placed at the rear and/or penalized a lap. IF EITHER ONE OR BOTH FRONT ROW STARTERS DOES NOT TAKEOFF, WHEN THE GREEN FLAG IS THROWN, THEY WILL HAVE TO START AT THE TAIL-END OF THE FIELD ON THE RESTART. NO WARNINGS. NO EXCEPTIONS.
2. All original starts will be double file start upon the Flagman's command (waving of the green flag and/or green light).
2. A cone will be placed on the track between Turn 4 and the Start/Finish line. All race starts will be made when the pole sitter gets to the cone. The pole car must fire at the cone and not before. Firing before the cone will draw a warning. A second offense will draw a penalty and the offending driver will be put back one row.
3. There will be no passing or firing before the cone regardless of starting position.
4. If the caution flag comes out before all the cars complete the first lap, the race will be restarted using the original double file restart.
5. Any car going to the pit before the first lap is complete may return to his original starting position provided he is in position when the one-lap to go signal is given.
6. The track reserves the right to go to a single file start after three restarts.
Restarts
1. All restarts after the first completed green flag lap will be single file and will be lined up using positions held in the last completed green flag lap.
2. Single file restarts will be made with all lead lap cars being placed in front of all lapped cars. Lapped cars will line up behind all lead lap cars in the order they completed the last green flag lap.
3. On restarts, the leader must fire at the cone between turns 3 and 4. There will be no passing before the cone and no driver will be allowed to go below the cone.
4. Any driver passing before or going below the cone will be placed at the rear of all the cars. A second offense will result in removal from the event and the car will not be scored.
Caution Flag
TAZEWELL SPEEDWAY HAS A "NO JUDGEMENT" CAUTION RULE, WHICH MEANS, ANY CAR THAT CAUSES A CAUTION TO BE THROWN WILL BE SENT TO THE REAR OF THE FIELD. UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT OR ROUGH DRIVING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED AND WILL BE DEALT WITH ACCORDINGLY.
1. All cars should immediately slow down upon seeing the caution flag and lights. The cars will be scored using the last completed green flag. There will be no racing back to the flag.
2. Any driver continuing to race after the caution is displayed will be subject to penalty including being sent to the rear, or disqualified from the event at the discretion of the Race Director.
3. All cars causing a caution will be sent to the rear of the lap they are running in.
4. The decision of who is involved in the caution will be made by the Race Director and will not be subject to review or reversal. Any driver or crew member coming to the press box during a race to argue such a call will be disqualified from all events that night. Driver will receive no pay or points for any event that night.
5. Any car going to the pits under caution will be placed at the rear of the field regardless of laps completed.
6. Any car causing three cautions will be sent to the pits for the remainder of the event and will not be allowed to reenter the race.
7. Any car intentionally causing a caution without a mechanical problem will be penalized one lap.
Driver Changes
1. A driver may drive in no more than two divisions per racing event.
2. Any driver change that has not been approved by the Race Director will result in car and driver receiving no points and no money for the night.
3. There will be no driver changes made after a race has received the first green flag.
4. Any driver change attempted after qualifying will result in car starting at the rear of the field.
5. Points will be given only to the driver starting the race.
Radios and Mirrors
1. Radios are not allowed in any class
2. Mirrors will not be allowed in any class
Penalties
1. Speedway officials will display the caution flag for any incidents considered to be rough driving.
2. The driver judged to be rough driving would be placed at the rear of the field for the first offense, suspended from the event for the second offense, and suspended for the remainder of the racing season for the third offense.
3. A car that intentionally hits or rams another car while under caution will be disqualified from an event. All points and pay for the night will be forfeited and the car and driver will be immediately removed from the premises.
4. Any physical confrontation, either on the racing surface or in the pits, will result in the aggressor being escorted from the Speedway, suspended from the next two racing events and a possible fine may be implemented before they are allowed to return. A second offense will result in suspension for the remainder of the racing season.
5. Any driver who enters another driver's pit area will be considered the aggressor. If the incident occurs away from either driver's pit area, both drivers may be considered the aggressor.
6. Drivers will be held responsible for the action of all crewmembers and the penalty may be applied to the driver if a crewmember is involved in an incident.
7. Any physical confrontation with an official of Tazewell Speedway will result in lifetime ban from Tazewell Speedway.
8. Speedway officials reserve the right to increase or decrease the above penalties based on the severity of the incident.
9. No one except Speedway officials is allowed on the racing surface at any time during the race. A crew member going out on the track will result in the immediate disqualification of the driver.
Safety Equipment
1. Fire extinguishers must be mounted in each car and must be in working order.
2. Battery must be securely mounted in a box or case of some kind. If it is inside the car, it must have a cover.
3. A 5-point racing harness is required in all cars. Date on belts should be no more than three (3) years old.
4. Racing seat is required. NO fiberglass.
5. Add-on weights must be made of lead only. They must be painted white, have the car number on them and be securely bolted to the car using a minimum of 2 bolts. Penalty will be starting at the rear of the field of the next feature.
6. Drive shaft must be painted white and have the car number on it.
7. A full fire suit is MANDATORY for every competing driver. Any driver not wearing a fire suit will not be permitted to race.
8. All drivers must wear a Snell-approved helmet. A full-face helmet is recommended.
9. A window net is recommended but not required.
10. Fire retardant gloves are highly recommended.
11. No electronic or computer devices or data acquisition systems or traction-controlled devices are allowed on the racetrack at any time.
12. Any weights falling off a car during a race will result in a disqualification against the car.
Flags
1. Green: The green flag is the indication for the racing to begin.
2. Yellow: The yellow flag is for caution, meaning there is some kind of hazard on the racing surface. When the yellow flag is displayed, racing stops. Any car continuing to race or failing to slow down as soon as a caution is displayed may be immediately disqualified from the event.
3. Blue: Yellow: The blue-yellow flag indicated that the leader and/or faster cars are closing on a slower car. The driver receiving the blue-yellow flag must move to the inside and allow the faster cars to pass on the outside. A driver who fails to move down after the move over flag is displayed will be given a warning. If the driver again fails to move down, he will be black flagged and removed from the race.
4. Black: The black flag is a consultation flag and indicates that the driver must come to the pits immediately for consultation with a race official.
5. Red: The red flag will be displayed when the track is blocked or in cases where safety is a factor. In the case of a red flag, all cars should stop immediately.
6. White: When the white flag is displayed, it means the leader has started his last lap. If on the white flag lap the caution is displayed, all cars, regardless of their location on the track, will slow down and maintain position. We will revert back to the last completed green flag lap and on the restart there will be a green, white, checkered finish.
7. Checkered: When a checkered flag is displayed, it means the race is completed. When the checkered flag is given to the leader, the balance of the field receives the checkered flag on the same lap.

2010 Tazewell Speedway Safety Rules
THESE RULES APPLY TO ALL DIVISIONS AND WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED
31 Racing Inc./Tazewell Speedway shall incur no liability to any party, whether a participant, spectator, guest or invitee.
1. Nomex Type SFI 1, 3, or 5 rated firesuit and shoes or equivalent required. Nomex type or equivalent fire resistant socks are recommended. Fire resistant underwear is recommended when SFI-1 or equivalent firesuits are worn. SFI or equivalent rated neck collars and gloves are recommended. Firesuits and related accessories must be kept clean and in good repair without rips, tears, holes nor excessively soiled with grease or oil.
2. Snell approved full face helmet (SA95 or newer) with Lexan face shield is mandatory. Helmet chin strap must be Nomex covered. Helmets must not show signs of abuse. Helmets which are abused, thrown or involved in an injury accident will be confiscated by Officials for inspection.
3. Window nets are mandatory. A nylon mesh window net must be installed in the left side driver's door opening.
4. A toggle type ignition kill switch must be easily accessible to driver and safety crew and placed to the LEFT of the driver.
5. Center of steering wheel must be padded.
6. NASCAR, SFI approved or equivalent, factory manufactured, racing bucket seat. Must be upholstered and padded. No homemade seats of any kind including but not necessarily limited to those made of aluminum, plastic or fiberglass. A minimum of 6#, 3/8' grade 8 bolts required for seat mount. Seats must be bolted to a seat rail, minimum 1/8" x 1"o.d. round or square tube that is to be welded to the roll cage separate of chassis. Approved padded headrest mandatory.
7. A quick release five point harness system required. A submarine (crotch) belt is mandatory. All belt ends must be attached to roll bar cage separately from the seat with 3/8" grade 8 bolt min. Belts must come from behind the driver. Worn belts must be replaced. Belts or harnesses over 3 years old will not be allowed. Assemblies whose manufacture date is either not marked or illegible will not be allowed.
8. An on-board fire extinguishing system (Phoenix or equivalent) using Halon (inert gas) or equivalent is recommended. If using an on-board system, valve plunger (actuator) must be mounted to the right of driver, within easy reach of the driver and in plain view. On-board system will be inspected and must be passed by Technical Inspector. If no on-board system is installed, a minimum five pound A-B-C type (dry powder) fire extinguisher must be mounted within easy reach of driver's in an approved, quick release type bracket. Fire bottles may not be tied to a nearby bar (i.e. with zip-ties, duct tape or bailing wire).
9. Drivers caught on track without all safety equipment on will be black flagged from racetrack. Once cleared by race Official with all safety equipment properly on, driver will return to track at the rear of the field. All race cars are subject to a safety inspection and it is the responsibility of the driver to see that the car is inspected before competition.
10. All weight added to the car must be securely mounted with a minimum of two 3/8 grade 8 bolts. It must be painted white and the car number must be visible.
2010 Tazewell Speedway Protest Rules
These protest rules apply to all divisions at Tazewell Speedway. Protest fees are as follows:
Visual- $50.00 must be done prior to the race before your class gets onto the track. ($25 Tech-Fee)
$350.00 to pull a cylinder head. ($50.00 Tech-Fee)
$800.00 to go all the way through to the oil pan ($200 Tech-Fee)
There will be a $100.00 protest fee to pull intake or rear end, the track will retain a $25.00 tech fee.
Any class that is limited by a C.I. or a C.C rule will have a P&G protest rule. P&G protest will be $75 with $25 going to the track. Track reserves the right to P&G at any time.
Four cylinder class no longer subject to P&G. Pulling a head is $150 with $25 going to the track in Four Cylinder ONLY.
The track reserves the right to check cars at any time without payment of fee.
Any protest (other than a visual) must be made within five minutes after completion of the feature race for that class. To protest, the driver must be in the top-five and on the lead lap. Only the driver will be able to put up money to protest. (NO CREW MEMBERS, CAR OWNERS, ETC. WILL BE ALLOWED TO PUT UP MONEY TO PROTEST, DRIVER ONLY.)
ONLY CARS FINISHING IN THE TOP FIVE MAY BE PROTESTED, AND ONLY BY THE DRIVERS THAT FINISH IN THE TOP FIVE. YOU MAY PROTEST A CAR THAT FINISHED BEHIND YOU, BUT ONLY IF THAT DRIVER IS THE ONE THAT PROTESTED YOUR CAR.
You must have the written protest and the money in cash to the Race Director within the five minutes from completion of the race. Once protest money has been paid, protest cannot be withdrawn, only disallowed by an official. All protest decisions will be made by track officials and are final. Track officials have the authority to hold protested parts, for further evaluation and testing, for two business days, before making a decision. If a decision cannot be made immediately, payoff for that class will not be made until the next week's event.
During tear down, only the driver and two crew members on the car being inspected are permitted to be in the teardown area along with Tazewell Speedway officials.
When the protested part is ready for checking, the driver and one crew member from the protesting team will be permitted to witness the inspection.
If the protested car is illegal, the protest fee will be returned minus the tech fee. If protested car is legal, that car receives the protest fee minus the tech fee. Anyone refusing to cooperate during the inspection will be considered illegal. Failure to comply with any protest will result in the car being declared illegal.
When any car is found illegal in the inspection or protest following a race, that car and driver will forfeit all moneys and points accumulated that day/night. If found illegal a second time, or for a blatant violation of rules, driver is subject to a one or two race suspension depending on the severity of the violation. Track officials will make final decision.
Any discrepancies in the finishing order must be taken up with the Race Director within ten minutes from the time the finishes are posted.

2010 Tazewell Speedway Modified Street Rules
Eligible Models
Any factory U.S. production models made in 1965 or after. No trucks, station wagons or convertibles. Minimum wheel base for any car is 107 inches. The car must be full stock frame. Tube frames will NOT be allowed. The following are the only changes permitted, everything else must remain stock.
Bodies
Steel aftermarket stock appearing bodies allowed. Roof may be fiberglass and hood may be aluminum. Must retain stock fire wall and floor pan in stock location. Floor pan must extend to the rear seat area. Floor pan can be reinforced with steel plate. Plastic nose and tail permitted. Tail piece is required. May be enclosed with sheet medal. Interior sheet metal between rear quarter panels no lower than 3 inches from top of quarters. A five inch tall spoiler is allowed. No side braces allowed. All glass, head lights, exterior lights and trim must be removed. Front and rear wheel openings may be trimmed for tire clearance. No sharp edges. Steel tube front and rear bumpers may replace stock bumpers. Front bumper may be made of maximum 1 ½ o.d. x .125 thickness or 1 ¾ o.d. x .095 thickness tubing. Rear may be a maximum of 2 x 3 o.d. x .125 thickness rectangular tubing.
All body parts must be inplace to start the race. Track discretion if you're involved in a accident.
Roll Cage
ALL CARS MUST HAVE A SIX (6) POINT ROLL CAGE. Roll bar material must be minimum 1 ½ inch o.d. tubing by .095 thickness. It is recommended that welded joints have a gusset of minimum 1/8" thick steel. No conduit, thin-wall tubing or cast-iron pipe fittings will be permitted. All roll bar installations are subject to approval by the Technical Inspector. Door bars are mandatory and must extend into the door panels. A minimum of three door bars with six vertical studs equally spaced are required on the drivers side. Right side X is permitted. All bars within reasonable reach of the driver must be padded. Side wing bars are mandatory on both sides of the roll cage, and must extend downward at 90E degrees from the apex of upper forward roll bar bend, to top of the side door bar. The side wing bars must be the same material as Roll Cage. (minimum 1½ x .095). Uni body cars may tie the front clip to the rear clip. The rear-clip may be reinforced with round or box steel tubing (2" x 3" recommended). One or more bars are required from left front upright of roll cage to the frame for foot protection. Rear clip may be clipped from rear of floor pan back with a max of 2X3.125 tubing.
Weight Requirements
Car must weigh 3,000 pounds (with driver) before qualifying and before the race. Any car not meeting the minimum weight requirement prior to qualifying will not qualify. Any car that fails the weight requirement before the race will add the weight and start in the rear. All weight added to the car must be securely mounted with a minimum of two 3/8 grade 8 bolts. It must be painted white and the car number must be visible. Any weight dropped on the racing surface will result in immediate disqualification.
Engine Restrictions
Engine must be stock production. Engines may be interchanged within corporate manufacturer lines (i.e. any GM motor into any GM car) Maximum cubic inch for any GM engine is 362, Ford 362, Chrysler 372. No V-6 engines allowed.
Engine Block
O.E.M. cast iron, may be 2 or 4 bolt main. Aftermarket main caps allowed. Engine must remain in stock location, 1 inch tolerance.
Cylinder Heads
O.E.M. stock cast iron GM or World Products Part numbers 4265, 4266, and 4267 only. Any after market head that has same spec's as GM stock cast iron head. Must be the same. No aluminum heads permitted. Maximum valve size for GM 2.02/1.60, Ford 2.04/1.65, Chrysler 2.02/1.62. No angle plug heads allowed. Vortec cast iron heads are allowed. No porting, polishing, gasket matching or grinding allowed. May be angle milled. Three angle valve job permitted. Stainless steel valves permitted.
Crankshaft
Stock or aftermarket crankshafts allowed, must be of stock stroke and weight. (i.e. GM 350 = 3.480 stroke), cast 48 lbs., steel 50 lbs. May be balanced.
Connecting Rods
Stock or any aftermarket steel rods permitted. No aluminum or titanium rods allowed.
Pistons
Cast or forged, flat top pistons only. Zero deck (piston can not come out of the hole). No tolerance.
Timing Components
Any high performance camshaft allowed, except no roller or mushroom camshafts. Stock type solid or stock type hydraulic lifters only. No roller or mushroom lifters permitted. Dual roller timing chain or gear drive permitted.
Rocker Arms
Stock, long slot or roller rockers allowed. Rocker arm studs may be pinned or screw in studs. Guide plates, poly locks and stud girdles allowed. Shaft mounted rockers not permitted. Valve springs and retainers optional.
Oil Pump/Pan/Valve Covers
Stock or aftermarket permitted. Wet sump only.
Intake Manifold
Cast iron or aluminum intakes only. All intake manifolds must be untouched, as originally manufactured by the factory. Any manifold that is determined to be modified will be subject to disqualification. No homemade intake manifolds allowed.
Exhaust
Headers allowed. No turn downs. Must run parallel to the ground, may run side to side.
Carburetor
750 CFM maximum. Single pump, dual line, vacuum secondary carburetor only. Choke may be removed, but choke horn must remain. Two inch maximum adapter plate permitted, .025 tolerance. No alterations to venturi. Mechanical throttle linkage must have toe strap. A minimum of two return springs required on carburetor. 1 gasket per surface .070 max on gaskets.
Fuel And Fuel Cell
Pump and racing fuel allowed (no additives). No Methanol, alcohol or nitrous oxide allowed. A fuel cell is required. The pick up must be located on the top of the fuel cell. Maximum capacity cannot exceed 22 gallons. Fuel cells must be contained in a completely enclosed 18 gauge steel container. No aluminum fuel cells are allowed. All fuel cells must be vented and have a screw type cap. Must have coiled tube to prevent leaking of fuel in the event of a roll over. Vent check valves are optional but the loop is mandatory. Cell may not hang lower than the rear end housing and must have a cell guard minimum 1 1/2" tube to bottom of cell. Gas cap may not extend thru body. When plumbing any fuel related item, DO NOT USE PLUMBERS TAPE. Fuel pump must be mechanical, mounted in stock location. No electric fuel pumps or pressurized tank systems of any type permitted. Fuel injection or superchargers not permitted. Easily accessible fuel shut-off valve is recommended on right side of the driver.
Ignition
May use heavy duty, factory electronic and HEI units (stock housing, any cap, rotor, module or coil). No MSD units (rev limiters permitted). No crank triggered ignition or computers.
Water Pumps
May use cast stock or aftermarket aluminum pumps.
Radiator
Aftermarket aluminum radiator and fan shroud permitted. Must have catch tank on radiator overflow, minimum two quarts. Any car leaking water on the track will be black flagged.
Power Steering Pumps
Stock or aftermarket block mounted power steering pumps allowed. May use external reservoir. Steering may be quickened.
Pulleys
Any steel or aluminum pulleys permitted.
Air Cleaner
Any type of air cleaner permitted. No air boxes and no funneling devices.
Battery
Only one battery may be used, automotive or marine battery permitted. Battery may be mounted in trunk area. All batteries must be securely mounted with an angle iron frame on top and bottom. Batteries mounted in drivers compartment must have a complete rubber covering. No plastic battery boxes permitted.
Starter
Stock, aftermarket replacement or mini starter okay. Must mount in stock location on block. No reverse or bell housing mount starters allowed.
Flywheel
Any
Clutch
Any clutch will be allowed.
Transmission
Stock type O.E.M. manual or automatic transmissions only. Must have forward and reverse. Converter- less automatics okay. No Bert or Brinn transmissions or direct drive allowed. All vehicles must have operational reverse gear and be able to shift from forward to reverse with the engine running. Transmission oil coolers, if used, must be securely mounted outside of drivers compartment. It is recommended that manual transmissions have a SEMA/NASCAR approved steel bell housing or scatter shield and automatics use a blanket or approved scatter shield. Driveline and Brakes
Stock or 9 inch Ford allowed, any gear, full spools, mini-spools or welded spider gears allowed. No quick change, Detroit locker or gold track units allowed. No wide five hubs. Floater rear ends and aftermarket high strength axles okay, and are recommended. Driveline must be steel only, and painted white. Two driveline hoops required, front and rear. Material should be ¼ in thick and 2 inches wide. May use any type of brakes.
Steering and Suspension
OEM steering box only. No racks. Center link and tie rods may be fabricated. Tubular upper a-frames allowed. Bite bolts allowed. Front shocks may be relocated. Aftermarket springs may be used. Any rear suspension allowed (other than birdcages).
Wheels and Tires
Any U.S. manufactured steel wheel permitted, 10 inch maximum width bead to bead. No lightweight or aluminum wheels. Center of wheel must be of heavy duty construction. 5/8 wheel studs mandatory. ½ inch wheel spacers allowed, one per wheel. No wheel adaptors allowed. Wheel off-set optional. Bead locks permitted on all four wheels. Any track approved D.O.T tire allowed. Hoosier RC-3 and American Racer DT-48 and 48 27.5BT tire compounds tire compounds are permitted. No grooving or alterations. Rear tires will have a punch rule! No mud and snow or recap tires permitted.
Radios and Mirrors
No type of radio or any other two-way communication with the driver will be permitted. Mirrors are not permitted.
General

2010 Pure Street Rules
Eligible Models
Open to passenger automobiles and pick up trucks (no station wagons, convertibles or t-tops) with a minimum wheelbase of 108 inches. Any year allowed. Absolutely no performance modifications are allowed unless specified below. In general, anything that improves the performance of the car over and above its factory capabilities is illegal. Anything to improve safety is generally permitted.
Bodies
Must be absolutely stock except as modified for safety. Can shell hoods and deck lids for safety, can replace doors with sheet metal, must be stock appearing. No cutting of any body parts. Fenders may be cut up to a maximum of 4" around the tire for clearance. Driver and passenger doors must be gutted for door bars. Roof may be partially gutted for cage clearance (only area immediately around main roll bar and halo bar may be gutted). Front fender wells may be removed. Radiator support may be removed and bars added for protection. Any repairs to body must be metal and a maximum of 1/16" thick. All plastic, pot metal, glass, chrome and rubber exterior moldings, decor, grill, etc. must be completely removed. In general, anything that may fall off the car and become debris should be removed. The grill must be replaced with wire mesh. The stock dash metal must remain. Removal of the back seat and all excess upholstery is required. All doors must be welded shut. No gutting of hoods or trunk lids. Trunk and hood must be pinned, hoods must be secured in such a fashion as to permit easy opening in the event of fire. Interior gutting of the body to remove excess weight is NOT permitted. . A five inch tall spoiler is permitted, no sides allowed. No rub rails. Plastic nose and tail piece permitted. Cars with plastic nose and tail piece may replace stock bumpers with steel tube front and rear bumpers. Front bumper may be made of maximum 1 ½ o.d. x .125 thickness or 1 ¾ o.d. x .095 thickness tubing. Rear may be a maximum of 2 x 3 o.d. x .125 thickness rectangular tubing.

No changing heads to raise compression (305 heads on 350). Balancing permitted. Stock engine location must be maintained. Aftermarket valve covers are allowed. Aftermarket steel or aluminum pulleys are allowed. Aftermarket fan allowed no electric fans. Aftermarket air cleaners OK. No funneling or air-flow enhancing devices allowed. Protest for checking cam is $150. Must pull intake to check cam.
Cylinder Heads
Must be stock for make and model. O.E.M. stock cast iron GM or World Products replacement part numbers 4360 or 4267 only. No double hump or fuelie heads permitted. No vortec or aluminum heads permitted, even if stock. No angle plug heads allowed. Stock valve sizes only. Stock rockers only. No roller rockers or steel rockers with roller tips will be permitted. Stock diameter valve springs for make and model. Screw in or pinned studs optional. Heads may be surfaced, but no angle milling. No porting, polishing, gasket matching or grinding allowed. Three angle valve job permitted.

Stock manifolds or headers allowed. No turn downs. Must run parallel to the ground, may run side to side.

No changes from stock mountings allowed. May use heavy duty stock style replacement ball joints. Steering must remain stock, may be heavy duty. Aftermarket springs may be used, no coil-overs. Springs must be of similar design to original equipment, and must remain in original position. No adjustable spring cups allowed. Stock rear suspension only. Leaf spring cars may use stock-type aftermarket leaf springs. No single leaf or fiberglass leaf springs allowed. Leaf springs must be mounted in stock locations. Lowering blocks allowed.
Wheels And Tires

BODY
Must retain stock OEM floor pan and firewalls in stock location. Floor pan can be reinforced with steel plate. Any type of bodies can be run as long as they have OEM floor pan and firewalls in stock location (TRACK JUDGEMENT). Aftermarket front and rear bumper covers permitted (rear optional). All glass, plastic emblems and trim must be removed. No bump bars. Spoiler 4" max with 5" side boards.
WEIGHT
Cars will be weighed before the race. Cars with OEM stock engines must weigh a minimum of 2,100 pounds (with driver). In order to qualify for this weight, you must have a completely stock engine except for a header and Holly 4412 (500CFM) carburetor. Cars with engine modifications must weigh a minimum of one pound per cc. For example, a car with a 2,300 cc engine must weigh a minimum of 2,300 pounds (with driver). Cars with an aftermarket aluminum head will add an additional 200 pounds to the one pound per cc rule with 100 pounds of the weight to go in front of the bellhousing. For example, a car with a 2300 cc engine and an aftermarket aluminum head would weigh a minimum of 2500 pounds (with driver). Cars with a stock aluminum head will add an additional 100 pounds to the one pound per cc rule. Any car that fails the weight requirement before the race will add the weight and start in the rear. Minimum weight is 2200 pounds for steel head engines, cars with stock aluminum or aftermarket aluminum heads must add weight as mentioned above.
All weight added to the car must be securely mounted with a minimum of two 3/8 grade 8 bolts. It must be painted white and the car number must be visible.
Any weight dropped on the racing surface will result in immediate disqualification.
SUSPENSION
All steering components must remain stock. Suspension must remain stock. Racing shocks and springs permitted. Shocks must mount in stock location. No coil-overs, jackscrews or adjustable shims permitted. Strut car may remove inner fenders and replace upper strut mounts to roll cage but must remain in stock location.
FRAMES
Stock frames only. May be reinforced. No tube frames allowed.
REAR END
Stock OEM rear end or Nine Inch Ford rear-ends only. May be locked. Any gear allowed.
TRANSMISSION
Stock OEM type transmissions only. Must have all working forward and reverse gears. Stock steel flywheels only. No modifications. No exceptions. Racing clutch allowed, no ram couplers or direct drives. Bell housing must have a two inch inspection hole in the bottom to view flywheel and clutch. If not, removal of transmission may be required.
ENGINE
Four cylinder engines only. One spark plug and two valves per cylinder. Engine must match body.
Holly 4412 (500CFM) will be the only carburetor permitted. No modifications will be permitted other than the choke being removed. Adapter permitted. Choke horn must remain intact. All cars must have an operating starter.
RADIATORS
Must have catch tank on radiator overflow, minimum two quarts. Any car leaking water on the track will be black flagged.
FUEL AND FUEL CELL
Pump and racing fuel allowed (no additives). No Methanol, alcohol or nitrous oxide allowed.
A fuel cell is required. The pick up must be located on the top of the fuel cell. Maximum capacity cannot exceed 22 gallons. Fuel cells must be contained in a completely enclosed 18 gauge steel container. No aluminum fuel cells are allowed. All fuel cells must be vented and have a screw type cap. Must have coiled tube to prevent leaking of fuel in the event of a roll over. Vent check valves are optional but the loop is mandatory. Cell may not hang lower than the rear end housing and must have a cell guard minimum 1 1/2" tube to bottom of cell. Gas cap may not extend thru body. When plumbing any fuel related item, DO NOT USE PLUMBERS TAPE.
FUEL PUMP
Must be mechanical, mounted in stock location. No electric fuel pumps or pressurized tank systems of any type permitted. Fuel injection or superchargers not permitted. Easily accessible fuel shut-off valve is recommended on right side of the driver.
WHEELS
Any U.S. manufactured steel wheel permitted, 13" x 8" inch maximum width bead to bead. No lightweight or aluminum wheels. Center of wheel must be of heavy duty construction. No wheel adaptors allowed. Wheel off-set optional. Bead locks permitted on all four wheels.
TIRES
Hoosier RC-1 and RC-4 and American Racer 33 & 44 permitted. Mixing of compounds allowed. Numbers must remain visible on tires. DOT street tires not allowed.
RADIOS AND MIRRORS
No Radios or Mirrors.
