**GENERAL RULES**
Interpretation and implementation of these rules will be the responsibility of track officials. Any situation not specifically covered in these rules will be acted upon by the official or officials in charge, whose decision will be final and binding on all participants.
These rules may be changed, modified, or deleted at any time for any reason to promote competition
These rules shall not be construed in any manner as to create a contract by and between the competitors and the WILLARD-SPEEDWAY.
THE RULES AND REGULATIONS SET FORTH HEREIN ARE INTENDED TO PROVIDE FOR THE ORDERLY CONDUCT OF RACING EVENTS AND TO ESTABLISH MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCH EVENTS.
THE RULES SHALL GOVERN THE CONDITION OF ALL EVENTS, AND BY PARTICIPATION IN THESE EVENTS ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE DEEMED TO HAVE COMPLIED WITH THESE RULES.
NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATION OF THESE RULES. THEY ARE INTENDED AS A GUIDE FOR THE CONDUCT OF THE SPORT AND THESE RULES ARE IN NO WAY A GUARANTEE AGAINST INJURY OR DEATH TO A PARTICIPANT, SPECTATOR, OR OFFICIAL.
THE DIRECTOR OF COMPETITION SHALL BE EMPOWERED TO PERMIT REASONABLE AND APPROPRIATE DEVIATION FROM ANY OF THE SPECIFICATIONS HEREIN OR IMPOSE ANY FURTHERANCE THAT IN HIS OPINION DO NOT ALTER THE MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE REQUIREMENTS.
NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATION OF SPECIFICATIONS.
ALL PARTICIPANTS SHOULD KEEP THE FOLLOWING IN MIND: IF THE RULES DON'T SAY YOU CAN DO IT, YOU CAN'T. ASK FIRST.
CONDUCT
1. The track is privately owned/operated. Your right to participate can be revoked at any time for violation of any rule.
2. The conduct of the driver, crew members and car owner is the responsibility of, and a reflection on, the driver. Conduct detrimental to the sport will not be tolerated, and all participants are expected to conduct themselves accordingly.
3. Drivers will not be permitted to stop on the track to question the flagman or any track official. Any driver doing so will be subject to enforcement actions by the officials.
4. The racing surface, flag stand, infield, scoring tower, and announcer's position are OFF LIMITS to all persons other than officials without express permission of the director of competition/officials. Violation of this rule is subject to enforcement actions by the officials.
5. Fighting and or improper conduct will not be tolerated. All incidents will be referred to the appropriate law enforcement agency and appropriate penalties will be assessed by officials.
6. Any unlawful activity will be reported to appropriate law enforcement agency and appropriate penalties will be assessed by track officials.
7. No alcohol or drugs will be permitted on speedway property.
8. Anyone entering the pits must purchase a $25 pit pass and sign a release to enter. All persons entering pit area must sign release.
9. All drivers must register their full name, social security number, address, phone number, car number and class with track officials before racing. Each driver must complete and execute a W-9 form and biographical form each season.
GENERAL
1. Drivers MUST be registered to participate.
2. If a division has a sponsor, participating cars must display a decal , if provided
3. All participants... track insurance regulations: Drivers in all divisions or series are subject to approval by track officials. Anyone under 18, if allowed, to compete in any division or series must have parental consent form on file with the track. The track management reserves the right to approve or disapprove any driver, regardless of age and/or skill level demonstrated.
4. A single car may not compete in more than one class per night
5. Only track service vehicles will be permitted on the racing surface, infield or other designated areas.
6. The number of cars starting the feature race in any division or series will be subject to the track's discretion. A consolation race may be presented to fill the final spots in a feature race. Track management reserves the right to line up the start of any race in any manner or fashion to promote competition.
7. After a car has been qualified it cannot be re-qualified for any reason. Any driver changes must be reported to track officials, and the change will result in that car starting from the rear in the consolation race. If there is no consolation race, the car will start on the tail of the feature. Failure to report driver changes will subject the car to disqualification for the night, with other penalties possible at the discretion of track management.
8. Rough driving will not be tolerated. Cars may be sent to the rear of the field even though neither car has spun or has brought out the caution flag. Track officials’ judgment will prevail in all cases.
9. In the event of a caution flag period, cars will NOT race back to the caution flag. If the white flag has been displayed to the leader, cars will race back to the checkered at the discretion of the flagman. Deliberate spinning or otherwise damaging of a competitor on the final lap in such situations will result in the offending car being placed at the rear of the field in the final finishing order and the offended car being awarded the position in which it was placed prior to the incident. Officials' judgment will prevail in such cases.
10. For restarts following a caution flag, the field will be lined up single file according to the running order of the last green flag lap except for cars directly involved in the incident according to officials' decisions, which go to the rear. Cars which have been lapped will be placed at the rear of the restart field according to their running position.
11. If any car is unable to make the starting lineup, each row of the field will move directly up. Rows will not be criss-crossed.
12. The pole sitter will determine the pace of the start at the discretion of the starter, and the lead car on restarts will determine the pace of the restart, with the starter to have discretion over this area and to direct the pole sitter if necessary.
13. Passing will be permitted only after designated start/finish line. Brake checking will NOT be tolerated.
14. The red flag means STOP. Drivers must slow down as quickly as safely possible and stop. The driver must remain in the car under red flag conditions. In conditions of extreme heat, drivers may be given verbal permission by track officials to exit the car. However, no adjustments or repairs may be made to the car with hands, tools, or by any other means. Drivers who exit their car without express permission from track officials, and cars on which any work is performed, will be subject to immediate disqualification and/or other officials enforcement action, and if disqualified will receive no money for that particular race. Any car which passes the scene of the accident which caused the red flag condition after having already passed under the red flag will be disqualified for the remainder of that particular race. In the event of an accident too close to the start/finish line to allow cars to stop in time, officials’ judgment as to intent will apply.
15. Cars experiencing flat tires must go to the infield or pit area immediately, whichever is quicker.
16. Any car which goes to the pit area during a race, whether that race has been officially started or not, may not be allowed back on the track during that race without approval by track officials. Cars which go to the infield in such circumstances may return to the track at the discretion of track officials.
17. Cars which leave the track under red flag conditions, whether by wrecker or under their own power, and do not return, will be scored for the finish according to their last completed green flag lap.
18. When the layover flag is displayed, the car to which it is displayed must move to the outside of the track unless other instructions are given to drivers prior to the event. If the layover flag or the black flag is ignored consistently, the car to which it is displayed will not be credited with remaining laps.
19. Any race may be declared officially complete at officials' discretion if the halfway point has been reached, or if an inordinate time delay is expected prior to the track being ready for competition.
20. Cars which do not report to the lineup on time will go to the rear if the field has started to move, unless ordered to take their original starting position by track officials.
21. The driver is responsible for having the car in line for practice, qualifications and racing. If a car can not be qualified with its division, it will start in the rear of the feature or, if a consolation race is necessary, at the rear of the consolation race.
22. Track management shall designate who shall have exclusive rights to sell racing fuel, tires, and race equipment and/or other merchandise/services.
23. All weight will be determined by track scales.
24. No traction control devices of any kind will be permitted in any division.
25. Track management reserves the right to allow or deny any car or any driver from participating.
26. Track management reserves the right to have any car inspected at any time. Any car found illegal will be subject to official enforcement actions.. Failure to report for inspection when directed to do so or when required to do so will be considered an admission of guilt and will result in official enforcement actions.
27. In order to qualify for starting money, a car must answer the call for the feature race and be presented on the track. Officials' decisions will prevail.
SAFETY
1. Approved full fire suits (top and bottom), helmets and fire extinguishers are mandatory in all classes. Fire extinguisher must be freshly charged and be within driver’s reach and have a working gauge. Halon systems will be permitted.
2. Electric fuel pumps will be permitted only in 4/6 CYL divisions under rules specified for those divisions.
3. Approved fuel cells will be required in Late Model, Sportsman, Modified and Bomber divisions. Approved fuel cells are strongly recommended in all divisions. Bottom edge of fuel cells must be at least 10" off the ground and protected on all sides.
4. Drive shafts are to be painted white and have approved safety loop.
5. Any injury must be reported to track officials before leaving speedway property.
6. All cars must have clearly marked “on-off” ignition switches within reach from outside the car.
7. Any battery in driver's compartment must be secured and covered.
8. Approved racing seat will be required in all divisions. No fiberglass seats will be permitted.
9. In the interest of safety it is strongly recommended all accelerator pedals have mechanical return provision. Toe return pedal is recommended, along with two safety return springs mounted from two different points.
10. Safety harness must be SFI approved and no more than five years old according to manufacturer's date label. Manufacturer's date label must be readable.
13. Any car appearing to be leaking , smoking or excessively damaged is subject to official enforcement.
MISCELLANEOUS
1. Any intentional dumping of oil, fuel, or used tires on speedway property is against the law and will be prosecuted.
2. No removal, alteration or covering of sidewall markings of tires will be permitted. No removal, alteration or covering of any parts number from any mechanical part will be permitted. Violation of this rule will result in enforcement action.
3. Vehicles in all divisions must have a pick-up hook for wrecker. Disabled cars may be pushed to infield or taken to pit area, whichever is quicker, until race is complete. The track is not responsible for any damage to any race car.
4. No obscene lettering or decals, anything sexually suggestive, or derogatory lettering will be permitted on any car. All numbers must be of sufficient size and contrasting color to be seen from grandstands and scoring tower. Numbers on top must face passenger side of the car, and must be a minimum of 24 inches in height.

6. For the sake of time, the track reserves the right to cancel qualifying and line up races in any manner.

THESE ARE TO SERVE AS GUIDELINES TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH MINIMUM STANDARDS. OFFICIALS WILL HAVE FINAL JUDGMENT AND AUTHORITY AS TO ANY RULE OR CAR SITUATION.
2010 WILLARD SPEEDWAY 4/6 CYL RULES
1) This division limited to 1980 to present front or rear (2) wheel drive American and Import automobiles with a factory (stock) wheelbase less than 105”. Vehicles must have a 4 OR 6 cylinder engine and standard or automatic transmission. Two door, four door and hatch back passenger cars/trucks are permitted.
All Cars Must Remain Stock With Only The Following Modifications:
2) BODY - All doors, sunroofs and rear hatches must be welded shut. All glass must be removed. Glass sunroof openings must be covered with metal. No trimming of body panels. All mirrors (inside and out) must be removed. All exterior bright trim, moldings, lights and lenses must be removed. All body openings as a result of removed headlights, tail lights or rear trim panels must be covered with sheet aluminum or steel.
3) SUSPENSION - Suspension must remain unaltered. Springs and shocks may be replaced so long as replacements are direct OEM replacements. No 4 wheel steering.
4) INTERIOR – All seats other than drivers’ must be removed. Driver’s seat must be replaced with an aluminum-racing seat. Racing seat mounting brackets must be securely attached . All flammable trim material must be removed .
5) HOODS/DECK-LIDS – Hood and trunk-lid latches must be removed and stock hinges remain. Hoods and deck-lids are to be secured by a minimum of 2 hood pins.
6) WINDOWS - All exterior glass must be removed. Window and door-latch mechanisms must be removed.
7) ROLL CAGES - Four point roll cages, made of 1-3/4”O.D. x .095 tubing are required. Two uprights must be located in the furthest forward corners of the driver’s compartment and two uprights must be behind driver. All uprights should be located as far towards the outside of the car as practical. Top of cage should form a box and follow the contour of the windshield in front. The uprights must be welded to a 4” x 4”, 1/8” steel plate that is either welded. No galvanized or square tubing permitted. A horizontal bar connecting the two rear uprights, even with the top of the drivers’ seat back, is mandatory. Two cage support bars from the top hoop or rear up rights, running rearward to the rear seat floor area, at an approximately 45-degree angle are required. A dash bar connecting the two front uprights must go along the top of the stock dash board. There will be a minimum of 3 door bars on the drivers’ side and two on the passenger side. The drivers’ side door may be gutted for door bar installation. Gussets should be used where possible. Welds must be of good quality. The top of cage should be at least 4” higher than the driver when seated with their helmet on. All roll cage components, including door bars, cross bars and support bars must be the same 1 ¾” O.D. x.095” wall tubing. No bars may pass forward through the front firewall, but may rearward into trunk area. Cages must be approved.
8) PAINTING - Must be presentable AND VISIBLE! Numbers must be at least 18” tall on both doors. NO PRISM, METALLIC, DARK, SHADOWED or CLOSE COLORED.
9) RADIATORS – Must remain stock. Coolant must be water only.
10) FUEL CELL – Vehicles with stock in-tank fuel pumps must use stock fuel tank. Vehicles with external fuel pumps are permitted a maximum 8 gallon commercially made fuel cell. Cell must be mounted inside trunk area strapped to trunk floor, between frame rails. All fuel systems are subject to inspection and approval.
11) ENGINE – Engines are limited to stock, for the model vehicle, 4/6 cylinder engines with single overhead cam or push rod/rocker arm head configurations only. Maximum of 3 valves per cylinder is permitted. No DUAL or QUAD over head cams. No turbo or supercharger. No rotary engines.
No cylinder can exceed 175 lbs. Compression. Must pull 16 lbs of vacuum at 850 rpm.
12) CARBURETION / INJECTION – Induction system must remain stock manufacture unit. No aftermarket throttle bodies or mass air flow sensors. Stock air filter housing and connections must be used.
13) FUEL - Only straight gasoline or racing fuel is permitted. No nitro or alcohol.
14) EXHAUST SYSTEM - Exhaust manifold must be the factory produced unit for the model vehicle used. Exhaust pipes may be replaced, but must exit under car and behind the driver with turn-downs.
15) MIRRORS/RADIOS - Mirrors and radios are not permitted in the car, or driver’s equipment. Cars will not be permitted on racing surface with mirrors or radios.
16) DRIVE TRAINS – Drive trains are limited to, two wheel drive only. Transmissions must be stock automatic or standard unit and must have all forward and reverse gears.
17) STARTERS/BATTERIES - All cars must have stock working starter. Stock column must remain intact. A quick release steering wheel and hub will be permitted on stock column. All batteries must be securely mounted & covered.
18) FUEL LINES - Fuel lines must be securely mounted and protected.
19) SAFETY EQUIPMENT - All drivers must be protected at all times with Nomex or equivalent fire suit, seat belts, shoulder harness, and helmet with a DOT STICKER. A 2000 or later Snell sticker HELMET IS PREFERRED. Seat belts and harness are required to be a five point system with lower crouch belt (six point systems are recommended). Mounting attachment bar for shoulder harness must be at shoulder height of the driver and harness should not bend or change direction as it goes through the racing seat if used. Belt systems must be a minimum of 3” SFI approved units, dated no earlier than 2003.Each car should have a fully charged and ADEQUATE B and C type fire extinguisher ON-BOARD
20) WHEELS/BRAKES - Maximum 6” width stock TYPE steel wheels or STEEL RACING WHEELS are permitted. All four wheels must be the same size and offset. All wheel lugs must have at least 3 threads showing beyond lug nuts. Brakes must be in good working order on all four corners. Brakes are subject to inspection at all times.
21) TIRES – Only DOT 70 profile tires permitted. All tires subject to inspection/approval. NO SOAKING/DOPING/TREATMENTS.
22) INSPECTION - Inspection of all cars will be subject to official approval. Workmanship and appearance will be a determining factor in whether officials permit cars to enter competition. Upon cars first appearance of season, it may be permitted to compete ONE NIGHT provided minor constructional variances from the rules do not vary drastically. Officials ARE NOT obligated to any grace period on rule infractions at any time. Officials’ decisions are final.

Interpretation and implementation of these rules will be the responsibility of track officials. Any situation not specifically covered in these rules will be acted upon by the official or officials in charge, whose decision will be final and binding on all participants.
These rules may be changed, modified, or deleted at any time for any reason to promote competition
These rules shall not be construed in any manner as to create a contract by and between the competitors and the WILLARD-SPEEDWAY.
THE RULES AND REGULATIONS SET FORTH HEREIN ARE INTENDED TO PROVIDE FOR THE ORDERLY CONDUCT OF RACING EVENTS AND TO ESTABLISH MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCH EVENTS.
THE RULES SHALL GOVERN THE CONDITION OF ALL EVENTS, AND BY PARTICIPATION IN THESE EVENTS ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE DEEMED TO HAVE COMPLIED WITH THESE RULES.
NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATION OF THESE RULES. THEY ARE INTENDED AS A GUIDE FOR THE CONDUCT OF THE SPORT AND THESE RULES ARE IN NO WAY A GUARANTEE AGAINST INJURY OR DEATH TO A PARTICIPANT, SPECTATOR, OR OFFICIAL.
THE DIRECTOR OF COMPETITION SHALL BE EMPOWERED TO PERMIT REASONABLE AND APPROPRIATE DEVIATION FROM ANY OF THE SPECIFICATIONS HEREIN OR IMPOSE ANY FURTHERANCE THAT IN HIS OPINION DO NOT ALTER THE MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE REQUIREMENTS.

ALL PARTICIPANTS SHOULD KEEP THE FOLLOWING IN MIND: IF THE RULES DON'T SAY YOU CAN DO IT, YOU CAN'T. ASK FIRST.
CONDUCT
1. The track is privately owned/operated. Your right to participate can be revoked at any time for violation of any rule.
2. The conduct of the driver, crew members and car owner is the responsibility of, and a reflection on, the driver. Conduct detrimental to the sport will not be tolerated, and all participants are expected to conduct themselves accordingly.
3. Drivers will not be permitted to stop on the track to question the flagman or any track official. Any driver doing so will be subject to enforcement actions by the officials.
4. The racing surface, flag stand, infield, scoring tower, and announcer's position are OFF LIMITS to all persons other than officials without express permission of the director of competition/officials. Violation of this rule is subject to enforcement actions by the officials.
5. Fighting and or improper conduct will not be tolerated. All incidents will be referred to the appropriate law enforcement agency and appropriate penalties will be assessed by officials.
6. Any unlawful activity will be reported to appropriate law enforcement agency and appropriate penalties will be assessed by track officials.
7. No alcohol or drugs will be permitted on speedway property.
8. Anyone entering the pits must purchase a $25 pit pass and sign a release to enter. All persons entering pit area must sign release.
9. All drivers must register their full name, social security number, address, phone number, car number and class with track officials before racing. Each driver must complete and execute a W-9 form and biographical form each season.
GENERAL
1. Drivers MUST be registered to participate.
2. If a division has a sponsor, participating cars must display a decal , if provided
3. All participants... track insurance regulations: Drivers in all divisions or series are subject to approval by track officials. Anyone under 18, if allowed, to compete in any division or series must have parental consent form on file with the track. The track management reserves the right to approve or disapprove any driver, regardless of age and/or skill level demonstrated.
4. A single car may not compete in more than one class per night
5. Only track service vehicles will be permitted on the racing surface, infield or other designated areas.
6. The number of cars starting the feature race in any division or series will be subject to the track's discretion. A consolation race may be presented to fill the final spots in a feature race. Track management reserves the right to line up the start of any race in any manner or fashion to promote competition.
7. After a car has been qualified it cannot be re-qualified for any reason. Any driver changes must be reported to track officials, and the change will result in that car starting from the rear in the consolation race. If there is no consolation race, the car will start on the tail of the feature. Failure to report driver changes will subject the car to disqualification for the night, with other penalties possible at the discretion of track management.
8. Rough driving will not be tolerated. Cars may be sent to the rear of the field even though neither car has spun or has brought out the caution flag. Track officials’ judgment will prevail in all cases.
9. In the event of a caution flag period, cars will NOT race back to the caution flag. If the white flag has been displayed to the leader, cars will race back to the checkered at the discretion of the flagman. Deliberate spinning or otherwise damaging of a competitor on the final lap in such situations will result in the offending car being placed at the rear of the field in the final finishing order and the offended car being awarded the position in which it was placed prior to the incident. Officials' judgment will prevail in such cases.
10. For restarts following a caution flag, the field will be lined up single file according to the running order of the last green flag lap except for cars directly involved in the incident according to officials' decisions, which go to the rear. Cars which have been lapped will be placed at the rear of the restart field according to their running position.
11. If any car is unable to make the starting lineup, each row of the field will move directly up. Rows will not be criss-crossed.
12. The pole sitter will determine the pace of the start at the discretion of the starter, and the lead car on restarts will determine the pace of the restart, with the starter to have discretion over this area and to direct the pole sitter if necessary.
13. Passing will be permitted only after designated start/finish line. Brake checking will NOT be tolerated.
14. The red flag means STOP. Drivers must slow down as quickly as safely possible and stop. The driver must remain in the car under red flag conditions. In conditions of extreme heat, drivers may be given verbal permission by track officials to exit the car. However, no adjustments or repairs may be made to the car with hands, tools, or by any other means. Drivers who exit their car without express permission from track officials, and cars on which any work is performed, will be subject to immediate disqualification and/or other officials enforcement action, and if disqualified will receive no money for that particular race. Any car which passes the scene of the accident which caused the red flag condition after having already passed under the red flag will be disqualified for the remainder of that particular race. In the event of an accident too close to the start/finish line to allow cars to stop in time, officials’ judgment as to intent will apply.
15. Cars experiencing flat tires must go to the infield or pit area immediately, whichever is quicker.
16. Any car which goes to the pit area during a race, whether that race has been officially started or not, may not be allowed back on the track during that race without approval by track officials. Cars which go to the infield in such circumstances may return to the track at the discretion of track officials.
17. Cars which leave the track under red flag conditions, whether by wrecker or under their own power, and do not return, will be scored for the finish according to their last completed green flag lap.
18. When the layover flag is displayed, the car to which it is displayed must move to the outside of the track unless other instructions are given to drivers prior to the event. If the layover flag or the black flag is ignored consistently, the car to which it is displayed will not be credited with remaining laps.
19. Any race may be declared officially complete at officials' discretion if the halfway point has been reached, or if an inordinate time delay is expected prior to the track being ready for competition.
20. Cars which do not report to the lineup on time will go to the rear if the field has started to move, unless ordered to take their original starting position by track officials.
21. The driver is responsible for having the car in line for practice, qualifications and racing. If a car can not be qualified with its division, it will start in the rear of the feature or, if a consolation race is necessary, at the rear of the consolation race.
22. Track management shall designate who shall have exclusive rights to sell racing fuel, tires, and race equipment and/or other merchandise/services.
23. All weight will be determined by track scales.
24. No traction control devices of any kind will be permitted in any division.
25. Track management reserves the right to allow or deny any car or any driver from participating.
26. Track management reserves the right to have any car inspected at any time. Any car found illegal will be subject to official enforcement actions.. Failure to report for inspection when directed to do so or when required to do so will be considered an admission of guilt and will result in official enforcement actions.
27. In order to qualify for starting money, a car must answer the call for the feature race and be presented on the track. Officials' decisions will prevail.
SAFETY
1. Approved full fire suits (top and bottom), helmets and fire extinguishers are mandatory in all classes. Fire extinguisher must be freshly charged and be within driver’s reach and have a working gauge. Halon systems will be permitted.
2. Electric fuel pumps will be permitted only in 4/6 CYL divisions under rules specified for those divisions.
3. Approved fuel cells will be required in Late Model, Sportsman, Modified and Bomber divisions. Approved fuel cells are strongly recommended in all divisions. Bottom edge of fuel cells must be at least 10" off the ground and protected on all sides.
4. Drive shafts are to be painted white and have approved safety loop.
5. Any injury must be reported to track officials before leaving speedway property.
6. All cars must have clearly marked “on-off” ignition switches within reach from outside the car.
7. Any battery in driver's compartment must be secured and covered.
8. Approved racing seat will be required in all divisions. No fiberglass seats will be permitted.
9. In the interest of safety it is strongly recommended all accelerator pedals have mechanical return provision. Toe return pedal is recommended, along with two safety return springs mounted from two different points.
10. Safety harness must be SFI approved and no more than five years old according to manufacturer's date label. Manufacturer's date label must be readable.
13. Any car appearing to be leaking , smoking or excessively damaged is subject to official enforcement.
MISCELLANEOUS
1. Any intentional dumping of oil, fuel, or used tires on speedway property is against the law and will be prosecuted.
2. No removal, alteration or covering of sidewall markings of tires will be permitted. No removal, alteration or covering of any parts number from any mechanical part will be permitted. Violation of this rule will result in enforcement action.
3. Vehicles in all divisions must have a pick-up hook for wrecker. Disabled cars may be pushed to infield or taken to pit area, whichever is quicker, until race is complete. The track is not responsible for any damage to any race car.
4. No obscene lettering or decals, anything sexually suggestive, or derogatory lettering will be permitted on any car. All numbers must be of sufficient size and contrasting color to be seen from grandstands and scoring tower. Numbers on top must face passenger side of the car, and must be a minimum of 24 inches in height.

2010 WILLARD SPEEDWAY 4/6 CYL RULES
1) This division limited to 1980 to present front or rear (2) wheel drive American and Import automobiles with a factory (stock) wheelbase less than 105”. Vehicles must have a 4 OR 6 cylinder engine and standard or automatic transmission. Two door, four door and hatch back passenger cars/trucks are permitted.
All Cars Must Remain Stock With Only The Following Modifications:
2) BODY - All doors, sunroofs and rear hatches must be welded shut. All glass must be removed. Glass sunroof openings must be covered with metal. No trimming of body panels. All mirrors (inside and out) must be removed. All exterior bright trim, moldings, lights and lenses must be removed. All body openings as a result of removed headlights, tail lights or rear trim panels must be covered with sheet aluminum or steel.
3) SUSPENSION - Suspension must remain unaltered. Springs and shocks may be replaced so long as replacements are direct OEM replacements. No 4 wheel steering.
4) INTERIOR – All seats other than drivers’ must be removed. Driver’s seat must be replaced with an aluminum-racing seat. Racing seat mounting brackets must be securely attached . All flammable trim material must be removed .
5) HOODS/DECK-LIDS – Hood and trunk-lid latches must be removed and stock hinges remain. Hoods and deck-lids are to be secured by a minimum of 2 hood pins.
6) WINDOWS - All exterior glass must be removed. Window and door-latch mechanisms must be removed.
7) ROLL CAGES - Four point roll cages, made of 1-3/4”O.D. x .095 tubing are required. Two uprights must be located in the furthest forward corners of the driver’s compartment and two uprights must be behind driver. All uprights should be located as far towards the outside of the car as practical. Top of cage should form a box and follow the contour of the windshield in front. The uprights must be welded to a 4” x 4”, 1/8” steel plate that is either welded. No galvanized or square tubing permitted. A horizontal bar connecting the two rear uprights, even with the top of the drivers’ seat back, is mandatory. Two cage support bars from the top hoop or rear up rights, running rearward to the rear seat floor area, at an approximately 45-degree angle are required. A dash bar connecting the two front uprights must go along the top of the stock dash board. There will be a minimum of 3 door bars on the drivers’ side and two on the passenger side. The drivers’ side door may be gutted for door bar installation. Gussets should be used where possible. Welds must be of good quality. The top of cage should be at least 4” higher than the driver when seated with their helmet on. All roll cage components, including door bars, cross bars and support bars must be the same 1 ¾” O.D. x.095” wall tubing. No bars may pass forward through the front firewall, but may rearward into trunk area. Cages must be approved.
8) PAINTING - Must be presentable AND VISIBLE! Numbers must be at least 18” tall on both doors. NO PRISM, METALLIC, DARK, SHADOWED or CLOSE COLORED.
9) RADIATORS – Must remain stock. Coolant must be water only.
10) FUEL CELL – Vehicles with stock in-tank fuel pumps must use stock fuel tank. Vehicles with external fuel pumps are permitted a maximum 8 gallon commercially made fuel cell. Cell must be mounted inside trunk area strapped to trunk floor, between frame rails. All fuel systems are subject to inspection and approval.
11) ENGINE – Engines are limited to stock, for the model vehicle, 4/6 cylinder engines with single overhead cam or push rod/rocker arm head configurations only. Maximum of 3 valves per cylinder is permitted. No DUAL or QUAD over head cams. No turbo or supercharger. No rotary engines.
No cylinder can exceed 175 lbs. Compression. Must pull 16 lbs of vacuum at 850 rpm.
12) CARBURETION / INJECTION – Induction system must remain stock manufacture unit. No aftermarket throttle bodies or mass air flow sensors. Stock air filter housing and connections must be used.
13) FUEL - Only straight gasoline or racing fuel is permitted. No nitro or alcohol.
14) EXHAUST SYSTEM - Exhaust manifold must be the factory produced unit for the model vehicle used. Exhaust pipes may be replaced, but must exit under car and behind the driver with turn-downs.
15) MIRRORS/RADIOS - Mirrors and radios are not permitted in the car, or driver’s equipment. Cars will not be permitted on racing surface with mirrors or radios.
16) DRIVE TRAINS – Drive trains are limited to, two wheel drive only. Transmissions must be stock automatic or standard unit and must have all forward and reverse gears.
17) STARTERS/BATTERIES - All cars must have stock working starter. Stock column must remain intact. A quick release steering wheel and hub will be permitted on stock column. All batteries must be securely mounted & covered.
18) FUEL LINES - Fuel lines must be securely mounted and protected.
19) SAFETY EQUIPMENT - All drivers must be protected at all times with Nomex or equivalent fire suit, seat belts, shoulder harness, and helmet with a DOT STICKER. A 2000 or later Snell sticker HELMET IS PREFERRED. Seat belts and harness are required to be a five point system with lower crouch belt (six point systems are recommended). Mounting attachment bar for shoulder harness must be at shoulder height of the driver and harness should not bend or change direction as it goes through the racing seat if used. Belt systems must be a minimum of 3” SFI approved units, dated no earlier than 2003.Each car should have a fully charged and ADEQUATE B and C type fire extinguisher ON-BOARD
20) WHEELS/BRAKES - Maximum 6” width stock TYPE steel wheels or STEEL RACING WHEELS are permitted. All four wheels must be the same size and offset. All wheel lugs must have at least 3 threads showing beyond lug nuts. Brakes must be in good working order on all four corners. Brakes are subject to inspection at all times.
21) TIRES – Only DOT 70 profile tires permitted. All tires subject to inspection/approval. NO SOAKING/DOPING/TREATMENTS.
22) INSPECTION - Inspection of all cars will be subject to official approval. Workmanship and appearance will be a determining factor in whether officials permit cars to enter competition. Upon cars first appearance of season, it may be permitted to compete ONE NIGHT provided minor constructional variances from the rules do not vary drastically. Officials ARE NOT obligated to any grace period on rule infractions at any time. Officials’ decisions are final.
23) WEIGHTS-4CYL CARS MUST WEIGH 2300 LBS MIN.
6CYL CARS MUST WEIGH 2500 LBS MIN.
NOTE: THE 4/6CYL CLASS AT WILLARD IS AN "ENTRY LEVEL" CLASS. ANY ENTRANT, CAR AND/OR MODIFICATIONS DEEMED OUTSIDE THE SPIRIT OF THIS CLASS/RULES IS SUBJECT TO ENFORCEMENT ACTION BY WILLARD SPEEDWAY OFFICIALS.
